I frequent Long Horns for lunch and on occasion go for dinner. When I’m sitting in the restaurant, it feels like a quiet Texas saloon that was renovated for modern times and expanded into a restaurant. lol. The vibe is friendly and slightly more intimate than some places, due to the dimmer more yellow lighting and the number of booths outnumbering the tables.
Their food is amazing! My favorites are their Ribeyes, Chicken & Strawberry Salad, Shrimp & Lobster Chowder, and their Chopped Steak meals. Their loaded baked potatoes don’t hurt either, so good!
Their wait staff is amazing as well. I would say they ate attentive, personable, and are the type of individuals that will remember your name.
I was surprised at how reasonable their lunch prices were. One of my favorite places in Topeka!

Probably one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had here. Usually pretty ok. It was busy, but server never cleared dirty plates off the table, steak was pretty much raw, I asked for medium rare and it was cold to the touch, way over salted. Despite the salt, actually tasted not great, so used some a-1. I sure could have used something to drink too cut the salt, but never got a refill on water either. Never saw a manager, and my waitress came by once five minutes after the food got dropped, so I ate what I could.

This was the first time in forever that my husband and I were able to go out to a nice dinner just the two of us without the kids. It was a great night. Our server, I think her name was Dani, was attentive but not to much to interrupt the meal. She made sure we had everything we needed and seemed genuinely sweet and patient. I can be hard to decide what I want sometimes and she was helpful in making an appetizer choice and was just as excited as I was when she brought it out. The atmosphere was great. Lighting was perfect with for me, I have some issues with sensory so bright lights are rough on me. It wasnt to loud, there was conversation but not so loud as to interrupt our conversation. Food was phenomenal, but then again it’s Longhorn, is it ever not?! I had a wonderful time this evening. Thank you to our server and the wonderful team up there.

I placed a $140 online order and when trying to pick it up, the server had trouble finding it. Due to us not being able to find the order, my wait time extended another 30 minutes (which isn’t terrible for peak hours), but we received so many “extras” that we ended up not getting what we originally ordered.
I appreciate trying to accommodate for the wait time though I would be a lot happier with my actual meal or refund at this point.

Danni was our server. Sorry if I didnt spell her name correctly. The food was brought out at the right times so we could enjoy every dish. The Brussel sprouts were amazing. Can’t stop thinking about them. The meat was cooked to perfection! I like mine rare. Sorry I never can take a photo until I’ve enjoyed some. The lobster was not tuff and so delicious with the butter. Our server was a delight and didnt make us feel rushed even tho we came in an hour before close. It was our anniversary and we got a flat while heading to wanamaker for red lobster but the website said they close at 9. Longhorn took great care of us and made the evening wonderful.

Second time at this location and the service was on point. Server was Gisel (sp?) and she was so delightful and attentive: my drink was never empty and she checked on us just the right amount of times. Food was great!! Will definitely be coming back.

What a wonderful meal. So delicious and decadent. Should have taken photos of our Wild West Shrimp so delectable, crispy and flavorful. Tender perfect steak and sides. Wonderful crisp salad. Delicious loaded baked potato. Dessert is equally spectacular. Willie is an incredible server. Old school hospitality. Very well run restaurant.

Was a busy night tonight. 1/10/26. But had a online reservation and was the perfect time. James the server rocked it tonight. Definitely ask for him if you want a awesome experience. Food was spot on drinks were amazing.
