Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.

This used to be my favorite Whataburger as the food was always good and made right and very convenient because its down the street from my home but the last 2 times I have went will definitely my last times here. The first time I ordered wings and 2 burgers for my boys. I asked to please make sure my wings & fries were fresh. They were not. Wings were stale, fries were cold and i asked for all the vegetables on my sons burgers. None of it was done. I also wasnt given a receipt. I didnt want to inconvenience myself and drive back. So I checked it off as to them having a bad day or being overwhelmed and mistakes happen .

Today I visited around 12:30 a.m. again ordered wings. My wings were so stale and had barley any sauce. I looked in the bag for a receipt and AGAIN NO RECEIPT. I’ve been calling for 30 minutes with no answer. Im starting to think receipts aren’t given because they dont want anyone to let their new area manager Robert know how horrible service has been. This location has gone extremely down hill its ridiculous. Hopefully Robert can help turn it around or maybe Gabe can get his workers to actually care about their job and the food they are giving to customers. It’s extremely ridiculous. I definitely will not be back.

Omg I just read the most recent reviews and must agree with the posters and advise to heed the warnings! I have to first say like most San antonians I love me some WAB…they are my go to hamburger spot. There are 3 locations closer to my home but I went to this one on 1/8/26 as I had just patronized another establishment in the shopping center. When I do go, I always do curbside. It just makes life easier for all of us, I thought for them as well but boy was I wrong. I ordered food at about 10:45. I mention this because most of us would recognize this is not a usual “busy time” for them. I am very particular about the way I order the burger which is why I prefer mobile ordering, less room for error…or so I mistakenly thought. When I got home I discovered my fries were missing and my burger was completely WRONG! I was bothered but still had time on my lunch break so tried to call them to advise them of what happened and so my corrected order would be ready. I tried calling 3 separate times and let the phone ring for several minutes each time. No one ever answered

When I walked in I was disappointed to see that there was literally not one customer in the dining room. I say this to say they were not busy and now I am bothered that the phone is not being answered. Many employees in the kitchen and the manager walked right past me and no one acknowledged me. When the manager Vincent came back to the counter, and only because I asked if he was the manager (clear to me because of his different shirt), the first thing he asked me when I explained what happened, is where was the food! ‍♀️ I walked in with the intention of being kind and completely understanding. We’re all human and make mistakes. That response set me off. I advised him that he should have just apologized straight away for the mistake, inconvenience and correct my order as soon as possible. I also told him that he should probably take some notes, training from his employee Ashley as she was an absolute doll. She is extremely friendly, professional and conscientious.
The kicker is, I got home and the burger was still wrong! All I could do was laugh. These are first world problems.
Needless to say I will not be patronizing this location in the future. I will stick to my neck of the woods moving forward. As the recent poster noted: DO BETTER!!
I loathe mustard, I am a mayo girl all the way and do not like veggies and especially pickles on my burgers! That’s all I could taste (you can’t see the mustard as it’s on the other side and they forgot my beloved cheese)

This visit, I ordered the Whataburger Jr with Bacon and cheese. I also had the chicken bites! Both were delicious and hit the spot! My son ordered the pattie melt with bacon meal, and a chocolate shake! He was not disappointed! No long line of cars on a Thursday night after 11pm. And this place is usually packed! So that was a lucky surprise! Great customer service and attentive drive thru employees made for a great experience!

Happy Birthday Whataburger
Went in for the 75 cent burgers, not sure why people were being mean and rude to the employees.. they don’t deserve that and on a special like that errors and wait long times are to be expected. Good job team! Management was exceptional. And we took a couple of goodies

Worst. Stood at the front counter for about 20 minutes. No eye contact, no acknowledgement and 3 workers passed the counter multipletines, tinkered with the registers, and just walked away. What the heck? One worker spent more time hiding on the side wall playing with her phone. Ordered online, only to find out 20 minutes later (after they ask if we have been helped) that our order was just sitting at the back and not at the pickup rack. There was one couple eating and a short drive through line, so would not say they were busy.

No, I didn’t enjoy my cold food.

Not only did they take more than 30 minutes for our mediocre food. But we paid for gravy and didn’t get any then we asked for no tomatoes in my jr WHATABURGER only to get 4 IN THE JR BURGER THE JR! This is ridiculous then when we try to call for a refund they didn’t answer for anything honestly overall terrible service and the drive thru worker should be fired for being high on the clock

I used to have horrible experiences here but the lady talking through the drive through speaker is amazing!!!!!! She’s so nice and patient, didn’t make me feel like I was a bother for taking a second to order. Amazing, give her a raise honestly.

I go here often and never have complaints but this is not the first time I get a large fry that’s half way filled. So now I am putting a review. Looks like I need to start looking in my bag before I leave. I should not have to do that. Do better What A Burger.
