Went in with our two young kids on our way home and was pleasantly surprised how amazing everything was! Service was impeccable. My husband had the fried chicken sandwich and he said it was the best he’d ever had. I had the Monterrey chicken and it was perfectly cooked! The squash casserole was my favorite! Surprised when I saw it as a side! Not many places serve it! Would definitely go back!

Poor, I did notice there was better servers than the one we had though. She was very rushed to take our order, She did not bring bread like the other customers were getting on theirs tables by other servers. The food arrived very fast like it was already pre-made and then managed to burn within the seemed like a 6 minute wait from order to arrival. I can say they did comp the food off if the bills but the waitress failed to remove the plate until I handed it to her. I ordered quesadillas and my parents ordered chicken and dumplings and fried chicken. My mother expressed they she really liked her dumplings.

Busy Bee Realty just had a great lunch with clients buying in Brenham. I had the daily special which was fried chicken on Wednesday. It was good, would order again. My clients had the chicken strips and beef steak which looked delicious, I could smell the brown gravy. The waitress did a good job. Will bee back!!

I had a very nice waitress (Susan). She was very attentive and heavy handed on the wine pouring, which was awesome for me but probably not good for the owner. There wasn’t a bartender. The steak was seasoned well but over cooked (I ordered medium and it came mostly well-done on the extremities and medium-well in the middle). The “Baked” potato was microwaved. The atmosphere was similar to a “Texas Roadhouse.”

Pretty darn tasty, I’d caution against getting the onion rings for an upcharge as you only get 4 which cost an extra 1.50 (absolutely not worth it). The chicken fried steak is described as “Texas Sized” but I would have to say it’s not that big, especially with that description. You only get about 2oz of gravy with your whole meal and that wasn’t enough for the amount of food given. Even with these issues I’d recommend them to anyone wanted a home style meal and great service. The Cajun chicken was very good along with the sides according to my wife and her portions were what you’d expect.

Picked up Togo order – chicken tender batter was so salty couldn’t eat it. Mac & cheese spilled all under the chicken making it soggy. Requested bbq sauce & ketchup and dis not receive it. Sadly disappointed already back on road. Only 3 tables occupied upon arrival. The other two orders were correct other than asking for the sweet tea.

For the mains, we tried the chicken and dumplings—a classic comfort dish with tender chicken and fluffy dumplings in a rich, savory sauce. The chopped sirloin was another hit, cooked just right and packed with hearty, satisfying flavors. The crispy chicken sandwich was also a standout, with a perfect balance of crunch and juiciness.

This place has a classy but country home vibe. We got their burgers and fries. The fries were extra crispy and the burger was delicious. Staff was fast and friendly. We will absolutely stop again to try more of the menu!
