I’ve eaten at Aixois Sud (park place location) several times this summer and last fall and loved it every single time. The food is fresh and delicious, the cocktails are perfect, and service is great. It’s the perfect place to feel relaxed and not rushed for a meal with friends and family. Highly recommend escargot, the shrimp and avocado salad for a fresh lunch (perfect for summer), and burger and mushroom soup for dinner. I always get their daily specials.
Also don’t miss out on the French fries! Cooked perfectly -I order them as an appetizer sometimes. Good for book clubs and fam dinners. They also have a kids meal!

A Perfect Mother’s Day Brunch at Aixois French Bistro!

We had the pleasure of celebrating Mother’s Day brunch at Aixois French Bistro, and it was an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The food was exceptional—especially the French toast, eggs, and bacon, which were cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The flavors were rich and satisfying, with that perfect balance of sweet and savory.

The service was just as impressive. The staff was warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. Even with a busy holiday crowd, everything ran smoothly and with a smile.

The charming patio seating under the red umbrellas added to the ambiance, making it a lovely place to relax and enjoy the day.

Highly recommend for brunch or any special occasion. We’ll definitely be back!

Easily one of my favorite spots to visit if I am wanting French food in Kansas City: Aixois! There are two Aixois locations in the Kansas City metro and BOTH offer delicious plates. I love to order the homemade chicken, mushrooms, and egg fettuccine pasta as well as the grilled hangar steak served with peppercorn sauce, a salad, and pomme frites. The calamari appetizer is an absolute HIT! Aixois also has a wonderful patio to enjoy your meal on. They also have a stellar happy hour menu! We love going to Aixois, and we hope you do too!

I lived in Paris for years and was very impressed by Aixois. My party of 3 enjoyed happy hour before eating dinner. We tried various wines, the Aixois 75, the hanger steak, some salads, and notably the blueberry tiramisu. It was all very well received. I appreciated the cultural representation in all aspects of the restaurant, especially how servers are attentive but not hovering and leave you to enjoy yourself. I also appreciated that the menu changes according to season and is clearly well thought out.

If you were to add an ashtray to every patio table, you wouldn’t be able to tell if Aixois was in the US or France. Aixois is an immersive French dining experience and while I do understand how change can make us uncomfortable, if you aren’t willing to try something new and keep an open mind, there is probably a Cheesecake Factory or an Applebee’s not too far away.

My girlfriend and I have been wanting to come here since it opened last year but never did. However, today was the day we finally decided to eat dinner here.

The ambiance within the restaurant felt relaxing. Definitely set the mood for a comfortable dining experience. Our server asked where we wanted to sit which we appreciated. We were then guided to our table.

We were then greeted by Alana who is very kind and attentive. She checked in on us several times during our experience and helped us with our menu options. This service is an excellent example of top tier quality. I decided to order the Filet Mignon, Pomme Frites, and Aixois 75.

The Filet Mignon has good flavor, juicy, and tender. The pairing of the mashed potatoes and vegetable du jour were excellent and complimented this dish nicely. The Pommes Frites were good. It had a unique flavor which I wasn’t able to fully grasp, but it was good nonetheless. The Aixois 75 was sweet and had great flavor.

Overall, I am pleased with my experience. The service was spectacular and the food made the experience more enjoyable. I highly recommend everyone to come here to try out their food items.

Have visited a few times. Sat in the bar area and in the bistro. The bar is good service when you are the only one there or sitting at the bar directly. Otherwise you are forgotten about and wait a while to order with no communication. They do have great cocktails. Just need more attentiveness when it is busy. The bistro had great food and was a fun lunch spot!

My family and I had a wonderful brunch here last Sunday morning! We had wonderful service and the food was delicious. I had the Royale With Cheese (yes just like Pulp Fiction!) that was very, very good! Definitely give them a try!!!

The perfect spot to celebrate our anniversary with a late lunch. The decor and table setting next to the window made us feel like we were traveling on vacation. We had the Quiche Lorraine and Sauteed Sole. Both were attractive and done just right.

I recently enjoyed a memorable lunch at Aixois, a French restaurant in Leawood that offers an impressively authentic and thoughtfully curated experience, with a colleague. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance transported me to aix-en-provance; it was as if we had stepped into a café tucked away on a quiet street in France. The atmosphere exudes charm and calm, with elegant touches that create a sense of ease and comfort.

The menu reflects a clear dedication to traditional French cuisine, with each dish prepared and presented with care. Everything we ordered was skillfully balanced and full of character, showcasing the kitchen’s respect for quality ingredients and classic technique.

Our server, Andrew, elevated the entire experience. He was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable but but pretentious, and kindly patient. His timing and manner made the meal feel effortlessly smooth, as though every detail had been considered in advance.

The wine selection deserves special mention: well-matched to the menu, and clearly chosen with both the enthusiast and the curious diner in mind. It added depth to the meal and encouraged a slower, more deliberate pace of dining.

Aixois offers more than just food; it offers a moment of quiet sophistication. I look forward to returning soon and encourage anyone in the area to make time for a visit.

Beware: There are two restaurants by the same name in the Kansas City metro area. They are both excellent and have the same management, but if you are meeting a colleague, you’ll want to be sure that you are going to the correct venue!

What a wonderful lunch. The salmon was perfect with all the goodies in the salad. Flavors paired very well and the profiteroles were oh so good. Thanks for taking me to France!
