Took my girlfriend here for a date night and walked into a pleasant aesthetic and exceptional service. We were privileged to have Carlos as our server. He was exceptionally attentive to all details and didn’t miss a step when it came to informing and listening to us. The food was nothing short of excellent quality. The atmosphere so comfortably pulled us in that we lost track of time. Chef John personally came to our table and made sure that we felt welcomed, satisfied, and even offered us a wonderful dessert before we left. His ability to be personable with customers is notably appreciated. This place operates with class and genuine intention. The food tastes great. I highly recommend this experience to anyone!

Everything about Bistro on the Greens is thoughtful and welcoming. We were greeted by John and seated right away. Our server Hannah was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly without being intrusive. The Seafood gumbo was some of the best I’ve ever had. Every dish was well prepared and visually pleasing. The music, the decor, the food are all perfection
We have definitely found our new favorite restaurant!

My boyfriend and I wanted somewhere new to try for dinner Friday night. I researched the area. Read reviews for Bistro on the Greens and decided to give it a try. I cannot believe we have not been going here. What an amazing experience. The decor, the ambiance, our server . . . and the food! All so good. We started with the crabcake appetizer. I had the bourbon street chicken. The boyfriend had the lobster and shrimp d’Orleans. I was very happy with my dish because I am not a hot spicy person. The boyfriend was a tad disappointed that he was unable to find much lobster but was still happy with his choice of dish. I had read in the reviews that Chef John walks around and checks in with guests. He did that night as well. Stopped at our table to make sure we were satisfied with everything. The sweet treat at the end of dinner was the perfect touch. When we were leaving we saw Chef John again and chatted about hospitality and what a great job he is doing. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Have you ever visited a spot and realized that you should have already been there years ago? That’s how I felt going to Bistro On The Greens tonight. It had been on my radar forever and we finally visited. Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a serious lover of old school jazz. Not only was the ambiance just breathtaking; having dinner and cocktails under the gaze of all my favorite jazz musicians portraits and music in the background, but the fried alligator, flatbreads, brussle sprouts, short ribs and shrimp et ouffeè took me out! I even had the pleasure of meeting the owner John who blessed us with complimentary desserts and conversation. I want to go back every week. You owe it to yourself to check out this amazing spot.

This is an amazing hidden gem! I can’t believe we haven’t been here sooner. Love the quaint, cozy, classy setting of this place highlighting jazz icons in super cool art around the room. Chef John’s menu offers amazingly flavorful options that you just don’t find often unless in the South. This is upscale Creole and Cajun without being too much for us Midwest meat and potato types. Do yourself a favor and get the fried green tomatoes and peach cobbler no matter what. I had the shrimp scampi – soooo good! I also had the cranberry carnival and it was a lovely light compliment to the meal. It was obvious that the other entrees of diners around us were being thoroughly enjoyed as well. Topping it off – live jazz! Awesome set up to enjoy throughout the entire restaurant without being overwhelming. Excellent trio with stand up bass, guitar and sax. LOVED IT! Server was attentive, fun, professional and made excellent suggestions. So why not 5 stars? It was ridiculously warm in the dining room. Several of us were fanning ourselves with the menus and even mentioned it as staff was around, but it wasn’t asked about. 4 of us gals were actually sweating (not from the food, either!) if there is anything that can take away from enjoying a night out is sweating to death. So, lesson learned, dress lightly when you go. All in all, awesome. We havent found a place as nice, food as good or live jazz as great as BOTG in the area. Will be happy to come back!

True Louisiana cuisine. Crab cake was delicious and mostly crab, not stuffing. We also got Fried Green Tomatoes, Lobster & Shrimp Creole, Catfish Acadian, Bread Pudding and 2 adult beverages. Highly recommend everything we eat. We will be back to try others later.

We wanted to do something special for our parents who was celebrating their 67th wedding anniversary on July 13. And of course, the first place that I thought about was Bistro on the greens ; Where I had attended a 60th birthday party. The ambience is gorgeous all over the walls of this venue has portraits of famous jazz musicians. U Upon the entrance, There are several newspaper article articles about the food, the chef and owner John. The Entire staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and the specials offered daily. We started with a couple of espresso martinis, and some of their other specially crafted cocktails. The appetizers that we ordered were very delicious; We had alligator bites, fried green tomatoes, topped with shrimp, crabcake, and loaded french fries. You can enjoy dining inside or outside on the patio, which sits on the golf course. A couple of people in our party ordered steaks and the steaks were very juicy and tender and needed. No additional seasoning or steak sauce.

Was able to experience Bistro on the Greens this evening and must say that the experience was beautiful. The menu had offerings to satisfy everyone; from the tender gator bites, to the deliciously tangy and flavorful fried green tomatoes starters all the way to the delectable main courses that did not disappoint. There were a couple minor adjustments that needed to be made, which our server Travis readily handled with poise and courtesy. Further, the cook Zach provided our entire party with complimentary desserts (that was yummy and well balanced) and even came out to bring them himself. The atmosphere was warm and provided a very subtle sexy and sleek vibe. However, the cherry on top was the owner John who was very down to earth and hospitable. Truly, truly enjoyed our visit and will visit again.

If you want to go somewhere that’s quiet with dem lighting and very elegant. This is the place. Wonderful music and our waiter Carlos was amazing as well. And we can’t forget the drinks that sunset tequila had me hooked lol. Food was amazing as well everything was wonderful. I came for the alligator bites. I just wish they were a little bigger. I couldn’t really taste them they were so small. When I go out I love to eat things I don’t eat at home. Other than that everything was wonderful.
