Flying Biscuit Café was amazing. We were nestled in a cozy corner, which turned out to be the perfect space for our family to relax, bond, and truly enjoy the experience.

The food was the real star. The steak and eggs were cooked to perfection. The hangover hash, substituted with grits, was hands down one of the best breakfast bowls I’ve had in a long time. The Piedmont omelet was delicious and paired perfectly with a side of two chicken tenders. The eggs Benedict were scrumptious, and adding a waffle took it over the top. The table absolutely loved the biscuits with apple butter—a must-have.

While the service was just okay, the food more than made up for it. Overall, a great dining experience, and we’ll definitely be back for the food alone.

The food was amazing, but the service was even better. Landon took care of everything I needed. It seemed like every time I had the chance to look up, he was there checking on me, refilling my drinks, and ensuring I didn’t need anything more. Truly top tier service from Landon. His vibes were also so positive and he really brightened my day, maybe even my whole week! I definitely recommend The Flying Biscuit, not only because of the delicious food, but also because of Landon and the amazing service I received from him this afternoon.

We love having breakfast here! They have great options at reasonable prices. Service is always on par and the food is very consistent. It’s cooked to order and accurate. The biscuit appetizer with apple butter is a great way to start your day. I can’t get enough of their creamy grits and their chicken sausage gravy.

Amazing food and Liah, our server, was exceptional. It was a little warm inside today, though it is tough to complain with such beautiful weather outside. I really enjoy this place and the people who work here. I had the chicken and waffles and the crust was perfectly crisp. Next time I will try the spicy version. So good.

We tried this nice restaurant for brunch. The inside was quite cool so our kind server, Jasmine gave us an outside table. Our food came very quickly. My creamy grits were out of this world delicious. I added a side order of sautéed Serrano peppers to my grits to heat them up a notch. We were happy to be able to park in the large parking lot. Thanks so much “The Flying Biscuit Cafe.” We hope to return one day.

Flying Biscuit Cafe in Chapel Hill is one of those places where you sit down and immediately feel comfortable. The food comes out hot, tastes fresh, and fills you up without feeling overpriced. What truly made the visit memorable was our server, Monse. From the start, she was kind, attentive, and easy to talk to. She checked in at the right moments, kept everything accurate, and made the whole table feel taken care of without hovering. Her attitude set the mood for the meal and made the experience feel personal instead of rushed. You leave feeling satisfied, appreciated, and happy you stopped by, and a big part of that comes from Monse’s service.

This restaurant, folks, let me tell you — it’s tremendous. Absolutely fantastic. One of the best meals I’ve had. If you want a real meal, a winning meal, a classy meal — go here. Our waitress Medha was excellent! If stopping at the flying biscuit ask for her she will make your experience 10x better!

We’ve been to Flying Biscuit a few times now, and unfortunately, the service has been terrible every time. On our most recent visit, we waited about 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us, despite being seated right next to where several servers were standing. Multiple servers looked over at us but didn’t say a word or attempt to help.

When a server finally came over, they apologized and said there was a “mix-up” at the host stand. However, it’s hard to understand how that would result in us not being assigned a server at all, especially when multiple staff members were nearby and clearly saw we hadn’t been helped. I also didn’t notice a manager or floor leader present. Had there been one, this situation likely would have been addressed much sooner.

As someone who has worked in the food industry, I understand that restaurants can get busy or be understaffed, but it’s unacceptable when a table seated after us receives drinks and places their order before we’ve even been offered water. The lack of leadership, awareness, and urgency made for a very frustrating experience.

On a positive note, once Landon became our server, the experience improved significantly. Landon was absolutely amazing. He was attentive, friendly, and genuinely apologetic for the situation. He went above and beyond to make things right and provided the level of service we expect when dining out. He was truly the highlight of our visit.

I absolutely LOVE everything about this place. This has become my new favorite place to come on Saturday mornings for breakfast. I Absolutely love the avocado boat and order it everytime. My husband usually gets the hangover hash but tried something new today and got the pancake tacos. Our sever Madison is always so polite and courteous. We never have an issue with our order and she always makes sure we have everything we need. I will definitely be recommending this place to everyone.
