Pretty rare for a place to sincerely live up to the hype, but this spot surely did. Didn’t eat a full dinner, but had some snacks and some drinks and everything was solid all around.

My favorites from the night were the Verde Flatbread and between the Grasshopper and Pear Negroni. Their tiramisu was also top notch, but I feel like that’s just expected. I’d never had Flourless Chocolate Cake before this, but from what I could tell they did a great job with it.

The vibe inside is also top notch. Already thinking about another reservation for actual dinner. Super solid, definitely worth every dollar.

Café Dante in the West Village is an absolute gem! I stopped by for a casual evening and had a few appetizers along with a drink, and everything was delicious. I started with the mozzarella appetizer, which was fresh, creamy, and perfectly seasoned — a fantastic start to the meal. Each bite felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor.

The drinks were equally impressive. The cocktails are carefully crafted, balanced, and enjoyable, making it clear that the bar program is taken seriously here. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which added to the overall relaxed and enjoyable experience.

Beyond the food and drinks, the restaurant itself is such a vibe. The location in the West Village is perfect, and the decor combines classic charm with modern touches, creating an inviting and stylish atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a place to sit for a leisurely meal or just a few drinks with friends, it feels comfortable and lively at the same time.

Café Dante really delivers on all fronts: great food, expertly crafted drinks, friendly service, and an ambiance that makes the experience memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy excellent Italian-inspired fare in a beautifully curated West Village setting.

Dante is an absolute MUST-VISIT when you’re in NYC.

Came for brunch and booze, and the Caffè Dante was incredible – it just felt right to order the drink that shares the restaurant’s name. Warm coffee with alcohol, perfect for warming up on a chilly Saturday morning. Their other cocktails also did not disappoint.

The food was solid, but the cocktails were the real standout for me. I ordered the pasta of the day, and the portion was enormous – I genuinely struggled to finish it. They were very generous with both the meat and overall serving size, which made it feel completely worth it.

And the space itself is beautifully decorated – it gives off a classy, whimsical Alice in Wonderland vibe, which made the whole experience even better.

Definitely coming back for more brunch cocktails.

At opening the restaurant still had seats but it filled up relatively quick, so I do think a reservation would be a good idea.

Went to an event with prefixed menu. Amazing service, food and drinks. Enjoyed flatbread/pizza, salad, red snapper, burata. Cocktails were great. Ambiance is great though a little bit cramped in areas. If you don’t mind, it actually adds to the intimate setting in a romantic and pleasant way. Appreciated the attentive service.

An unforgettable experience, with friendly and professional service. We enjoyed excellent cocktails outside. The Negroni was unbeatable. Inside, the venue is furnished with attention to detail and elegance. Immersed in one of New York’s most charming neighborhoods.

We recently visited Dante in NYC and had an amazing time. We absolutely loved the cocktails we tried—especially the Fluffy Margarita and the Classic Negroni, both perfectly balanced and full of flavor. Their signature bread and butter and the burgers were also outstanding, far better than we expected for a place known primarily for drinks.

The atmosphere was warm and lively, and the staff were genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience even better. We’re already thinking about going back in the spring to enjoy their outdoor seating, but honestly, we’d return anytime just for those cocktails alone. Highly recommended!

I had heard of this place but never thought to go UNTIL I was tasked with finding a restaurant for my work dinner. I was able to snag a resy for 6 people on a Monday night and WOW. Dante rocks!!! Such a charming interior, we all felt very cozy and classy at the same time. The drink menu is extensive, I got the seasonal Pear Negroni and it was fantastic. The food was stellar too. Overall really enjoyed this meal and the staff – I can’t wait to return!!

Had a wonderful dinner at cafe dante. I recommend the burrata appetizer and ragu pappardelle for an entree. Had to wait a little bit for our seats at the bar, but absolutely worth the wait. I recommend making a reservation, if dining with a party of 3 or more. Eloy our bartender gave excellent service, and was so helpful and knowledgeable on the menu.

Absolutely love the bar tenders here! So friendly, welcoming and make exceptional cocktails. The cheese platter had an excellent selection. 100% a must visit when heading to NYC! We were able to be seated immediately with no reservation on a Saturday night, maybe luck!

Happy hour 15-17PM. $10 for the best Negroni in the city. We seat in the bar, and the bar mixer is giving a great service and the vibe is great.
We also had the smoked salmon toast, and it was amazing.
Would definitely recommend to give this a try especially on the Negroni happy hour!!!
