My favorites from the night were the Verde Flatbread and between the Grasshopper and Pear Negroni. Their tiramisu was also top notch, but I feel like that’s just expected. I’d never had Flourless Chocolate Cake before this, but from what I could tell they did a great job with it.
The vibe inside is also top notch. Already thinking about another reservation for actual dinner. Super solid, definitely worth every dollar.
The drinks were equally impressive. The cocktails are carefully crafted, balanced, and enjoyable, making it clear that the bar program is taken seriously here. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which added to the overall relaxed and enjoyable experience.
Beyond the food and drinks, the restaurant itself is such a vibe. The location in the West Village is perfect, and the decor combines classic charm with modern touches, creating an inviting and stylish atmosphere. Whether you’re looking for a place to sit for a leisurely meal or just a few drinks with friends, it feels comfortable and lively at the same time.
Café Dante really delivers on all fronts: great food, expertly crafted drinks, friendly service, and an ambiance that makes the experience memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy excellent Italian-inspired fare in a beautifully curated West Village setting.
Came for brunch and booze, and the Caffè Dante was incredible – it just felt right to order the drink that shares the restaurant’s name. Warm coffee with alcohol, perfect for warming up on a chilly Saturday morning. Their other cocktails also did not disappoint.
The food was solid, but the cocktails were the real standout for me. I ordered the pasta of the day, and the portion was enormous – I genuinely struggled to finish it. They were very generous with both the meat and overall serving size, which made it feel completely worth it.
And the space itself is beautifully decorated – it gives off a classy, whimsical Alice in Wonderland vibe, which made the whole experience even better.
Definitely coming back for more brunch cocktails.
At opening the restaurant still had seats but it filled up relatively quick, so I do think a reservation would be a good idea.
The atmosphere was warm and lively, and the staff were genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience even better. We’re already thinking about going back in the spring to enjoy their outdoor seating, but honestly, we’d return anytime just for those cocktails alone. Highly recommended!
We also had the smoked salmon toast, and it was amazing.
Would definitely recommend to give this a try especially on the Negroni happy hour!!!
