The three course meal deal is a steal. It costs less than the regular meal in some cases. Its a lot of food. Other than super slick floors its a great place.
The mimic drink for the season is a mango lemonade. You get a platypus toy to take home with it. Super sugary. Dilute as needed. (Free refills)

We’ve liked going here in the past, especially for the Walkabout Wednesday specials. The last few times we’ve been, the service has been just terrible. We’ve had to ask for bread more than once, our wait staff seems to always forget about us, we never get refills. On our last visit, the soda machine was down. It would’ve been nice to know that prior to ordering a $4 soda. They substituted with 2 liter bottles. The Coke was flat so I asked for a Dr. Pepper. That came out flat too. I finally just asked for a water. That’s when the server said it’s because they were using flat 2 liter bottles because the machine was down. I had to ask to have the soda charged taken off the check. I don’t know if we’ll be back. The food is usually good, just terrible service.

Had the Sirloin and Alice Springs Chicken here earlier today. I usually am not a fan of chicken but this one tasted great lots of flavor! Asparagus was good as well as the baked potato. Steak was properly cooked. Overall Great experience! Thanks

Went here on 2/21/26 in the evening. Awesome visit. Our server was excellent and very attentive, friendly and helpful. Food was on point and cooked perfectly. Manager came around and made sure we all were satisfied. We couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience than we had there. Thanks for a great evening out and excellent dinner!

The food was outstanding, although I think they forgot to season my fries. The service was good, we sat at the bar and unfortunately it was like the bartender was being worked to death. The other server for the bar area was never around. Some people even got up and left because of him

SO many things to list. They weren’t busy but it took our server 15 minutes to get our drink and appetizer order, another 30 minutes for me to get my cocktail. The Blooming onion was so greasy, it was as if it were fried twice. The food was mediocre and overpriced. I spend almost $200 for food that wasn’t even hot and we only ordered 4 entrees. In the bathroom, it looked like the sink and mirror hadn’t been touched for days. Service was slow. It didn’t seem as there was any urgency when it came to the servers I observed. I had been in customer and food service for over 40 years. It was horrific.

Our last few times at the Muncie Outback have each been a great experience! We were seated in the bar area one evening and our server Evelyn did a fantastic job of checking in on us and bringing refills and anything else we might have needed. She was very friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. The last two times we went were for dinner and lunch and we had the same server each time, Matt R. Each time Matt did an awesome job with his friendliness, attentiveness, keeping our drinks and bread refilled/replenished, seeing if we needed anything, helping us with his recommendations and just went above and beyond! I will be honest, we have been going to Outback for many years and not all of our experiences have been so good but, these last 3 visits there have been truly enjoyable! The manager was very polite and friendly also in addressing an issue because my sides were cold that evening in the bar area. I was very polite when bringing it up and Evelyn and the manager were also very polite and handled it very professionally and really took good care of us! Our lunch the other day was very good. Whomever prepared my Strawberry Salad and made our French Onion Soup did a fantastic job! It was all delicious and looked beautiful! We have nothing but good things to say about the current staff and management! I hope things continue to be ran as they are because I have noticed a decline in the quality of service at other establishments.

Was anticipating a great time out with the wife, we had been to the one in cinci and was looking forward to this one. We waited for an hour for our main course, when I came out the wife’s fries were cold. The waitress very helpful and have to bad to say about here.
Management walked by and ask how it was and we said the wait Sucked they said sorry but when we left the same management was just sitting at the bar chatting with another employee…if the kitchen was struggling that bad you’d think management would do something about it, maybe even help out ♂️

My fries had a hair in them, they took them back and brought me fresh ones, they too had a hair in them, nothing else was done. The floor was so slick, I slipped and twisted my knee just walking to the bathroom. We will not be returning to the Muncie Outback again. That was a lot of money to spend on dinner for all that to take place.

On Valentines Day we went here, made an online reservation. Upon arrival the hostess was a bit snippy and didn’t see us having a reservation so we had to go on the list like we hadn’t already been on there. After finally being seated in a booth in the bar area we had an awesome waiter, the 2nd best steak and overall food, (2nd only to Sante Fe Steakhouse in Nashville, TN), and a huge piece of cheesecake(about 3 normal pieces) for dessert. The staff seemed to genuinely enjoy what they do and worked as a team. I LOVE that I wasn’t forced to use one of the electronic things on the table. If they are this great when they are this busy, imagine when they have just a normal day!
