A truly magical place. The scenery is unbeatable and absolutely worth the drive!
The food is decent — not amazing— but there’s an interesting variety on the menu. Menus are in Spanish only so if you only know English, you may need to use Google Translate. I enjoyed the bone marrow quite a bit and they had a lovely cheesecake dresser as well.
Service is very friendly and welcoming. There’s also live music which makes for a really lovely and relaxed atmosphere. After your meal, feel free to walk around and explore the property. There’s various scenic points all over, perfect for photos! I highly recommend making the trek to the rooftop.

Los Portales de García is beautiful. There are lots of great photo opportunities throughout the restaurant, so make sure your phone is fully charged. Although it was very busy the wait was approximately 15-20 mins long. The food came out in episodes. First 2 plates, and about 15 mins later the other 2 plates came out. One of the fish was not fully cooked all the way through. When the waiter picked up our plates he saw it, and let us know he would remove it from the bill. Over all it’s a beautiful place, picture perfect in my opinion.

A large full-scale restaurant that is viral for a reason: The cliff and ocean views are amazing and the food is good with a lot of options.
We went early on a Saturday morning and were seated right away right at opening 10am, but the line seemed to be a 1+ hour wait by 11am-noon. The breakfast and brunch options were good with the exception of the French Toast which looks like a big brioche slab of bread.
The service was fair to poor, it seemed too busy and our waiter nearly disappeared. This seems to be an issue of too few servers and we heard a server say the kitchen was backed up.
Free parking in their lot, and there are a few similar restaurants next door
Prices high for Rosarito, although naturally are much cheaper than similar Los Angeles brunch spots
Overall worth a visit and I would go back.

A magical dining experience at LA’s doorstep! Had camarones and pork belly, it was delicious. The drinks, live music, and ocean view completed the experience. Definitely coming back for more!

Tipped restaurant and it was well worth trying it out. Parking was free. Staff was super friendly. Food was a bit expensive, but very good.
The views of the sea are amazing and the atmosphere was very festive, see the pictures.
We had quesadillas de borrego tatemado and de atun.
Would strongly recommend eating at this restaurant.

Viral status comes with some shortcomings. Yes the grounds are beautiful, and the staff was super friendly, but you’re easily forgotten. It seemed as though they didn’t know who our server was and getting anyone’s attention requires some effort. We came on a Wednesday and it wasn’t too busy. Can’t imagine what a weekend would look like. We also felt that the portions didn’t live up to the cost. Overall a decent experience but I would not return. We had a much better time at the smaller locations next door (Splash). Parking is free if you eat here. The menu is okay.

Can not miss if your in the area. The view is stunning. The architecture and charm are captivating. Steak and eggs were great. Plenty of condiments and attentive service. After you eat you should walk around for some good pictures. There are also 3 other restaurants beside this one. We paid $6 for parking. Check out our airbnb cabin nearby big bear, info in profile.

The food was good and fresh, pricier than expected. Lots of flies. But besides that our server and everything, including the view is beautiful.

Truly beautiful seafood restaurant with great views of the sea. We had some Margaritas, one al Tamarindo and the other Mango, very tasty! We got a tuna tostada, had some spicey fried shrimp, and my son had the tetela de pato. I enjoyed the food & drinks and the atmosphere is very romantic. Live music was played while we were there, and some Mariachis were also playing in the area. The prices were very affordable and the service extremely friendly.
