My family and I have been to this restaurant multiple times! We are Guatemalan and genuinely love the authenticity this place brings! We have made great friends with the staff! Veronica and Audelia are especially amazing! They always have a smile and are so helpful! We came to celebrate my brother birthday this time and were greeted with a plate full of conchas and a cupcake to celebrate for the family! Veronica is an amazing manager and definitely makes this place so much better! We love coming here and will always come back!

The inside looks so different than what you would expect, seems like it was newly remodeled and modern. We came around 2pm for some lunch and they were really busy – we waited about 20 minutes for our food to be ready. We got the concha french toast and some pupusas and we both enjoyed it.

Local Guatemalan bakery. They serve fresh bakery items and you can order custom cakes in advance. They also have a food area where you can order Guatemalan food.
Also an area to sit and eat .
Very good desserts from bread to cakes.
Staff does only talk Spanish .

Delicious pastries made fresh every day. My favorite are the cakes. I do get pan for my parents but I prefer slices of cake for myself.

Love the bread at Panaderia la Gualtemalteca is the one I go to for my sweet tooth. Nothing better than a hot coffee with their bread. So much options to choose from.

You would not expect this place to be here if you strolled on by but it is here and it is beautiful inside? Very high ceilings with the bakery aroma as soon as you walk in. I ordered garnachas and they were delicious! I cant tell you what it is but it reminded me a little bit of a Mexican sope. After we went over to the bakery and I ordered a pecan pie. The very nice lady took care of us very quickly and had great suggestions. My pecan pie was enriched with flavor and great texture. Will definitely be coming back to get some of the Guatemalan products they have in the center of the room.

I’ve always came here to get bread for many years now. I finally went when they upgraded their new place! I love the new design and it’s very authentic. The customer service is still awful. They are very rude and will not greet you. The employees really show that they don’t want to help anyone. They need to train the employees to acknowledge customers because without good customer service, no more business. There is many option of bread of Mexican and Guatemalan bread. I’ve passed by the morning and they didn’t have half of their items out yet.

I grew up coming to the original Guatemalteca, back when they used to be across the street. As Central American myself, I love our cultural heritage and food. The food here is so good, especially the alot de elote! My sister and I always come for the alot the elote. Of course the pan dulce is the best ever! My husband and I came to this new location and we were like a kid in a candy store with all the pan dulce they have! You can not pick just 1! Everything in the store is so nice and pretty! I love it! We got some pan dulce to go then some pupusas and of course my atol de elote. Amazing!

This is probably the best bakery in Garland Texas right now, the quality of the goods and the cakes have always been great and fresh. This place has been open for years. Started off across the street in a small building and ended up as a nice upscale Guatemalan bakery. They also have a restaurant in the same location.I’ve never tried the restaurant but it looks pretty good.I may have to come by and try it.Sometime, I think from what i’ve heard, everybody said it is pretty good.
