It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Coastal vacationers demanded that Shrimp Basket expand to provide this incredible seafood value to those unable to be at the beach year round. Today, we’re happy to offer locations across the Southeast for family and friends to feel a part of the beach, dine and enjoy delicious seafood! At the Shrimp Basket, our goal is to make sure that you – our friends – leave happy and satisfied after every visit.

We had an awesome experience. The shrimp po’ boy was delicious, the cheeseburger was great, and the smoked mahi dip appetizer was a perfect start to the meal. We also tried a Bushwacker, which was fantastic and definitely worth ordering.
A huge shoutout to Ian, our waiter, his service was phenomenal! He was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be back!

This is one of my favorite local spots to visit whenever I’m in Pensacola, and as always, the food did not disappoint, though today it was nothing short of exceptional. I started with a hearty bowl of seafood gumbo, packed with flavor and as filling as it was delicious. For the main course, I went with Gulf shrimp, broccoli, and fries, such a perfect combination.
To wash it down, I had their refreshing house made iced tea, which never misses. And the experience was made even better by my waitress, Sam, who was beyond hospitable, attentive, and all around amazing. Hats off to her for truly elevating the meal.

I had the best shrimp and grits ever!!!! My server was super friendly and attentive. The manager, Casey stopped by to check on me and let me know about their oyster Tuesday and pup cups. The whole experience made me feel like I’ve been coming here for years!!

Literally just stood at the bar to order and only was acknowledged by one server.That ask me to give them a minute in front of the manager and she nor the manager Kacey came back to let me order and she left for the day. Kacy proceeded to which oyster I guess for the meeting she said she was in. But never told either employee to take my order after she knew I had been waiting .A employee from another shrimp basket came in sat at the bar the other server took his order served him and never asked me have I been helped. It was another server walking around but no one never asked me anything. Let me remind yall it was only 7ppl in the whole restaurant and I was the only black person of if I could rate it a zero I would. I really have never experienced nothing like that and I’m a former server myself

We ordered and had this food delivered tonight. The chicken tenders had been literally ripped in half before packing into our box. I have never seen anything like it. The fried oysters were over cooked to the point of being burned, and they had a black charcoal edge, dry on the inside and could not be eaten. The fried shrimp and catfish were fine, except that the catfish was little tiny scrappy pieces and not the fillets we are used to. The hush puppies cooked outside but were raw on the inside. And when I called immediately to speak to management, she told me she was busy because it was the dinner rush and would call me back. I was calling about my dinner! And she never called me back. This was the second bad meal we’ve had from the warrington shrimp basket. I did not review the first time thinking it was a fluke. We’ll never eat there again.

Being from Montgomery, Alabama, and grew up vacationing at Gulf Shores. Reside in Northern Ky for the last 40 years. I miss the south, and mostly the cooking. The smells, the feeling that come only from some of the best comfort food in the south. The Shrimp Basket in Warrington/Pensacola Did not disappoint!! Shew- Wee that’s some of the best cooking. Seasonings. Highly recommend the onion strings with their special sauce. I ordered fried shrimp, fried Flounder, sweet potato fries, my husband got the redfish (grilled) over rice. Perfection.
Speaking of perfection, the service… Deana was exceptional. We didn’t just have a great meal, we made new friends we will be returning to visit!! Thank you!!

I placed My order at the wrong store this store…. And how I’m so regarding it now…. I called immediately as I a place the incorrect order. The order taker told me I had to wait to the GM to get there at 4: 00pm.. it’s 6: 00pm and I have never received any phone call from the GM but I’ve called the stores three times.. I talked to several order takers left my phone number all the information. I’m just looking for a refund. But obviously I’m not in the phone to them. Got it. The last person I talked to Robert maybe told me that I wasn’t going to be able to talk to the GM because they had a band… From 5 to 8pm…. But I’ve been calling this before 4… how does that make sense?

I was there last week on vacation, and really enjoyed the the server recommendation of shrimp and grits… It was amazing! Our server was Dena, and she was very friendly, professional and accommodating to the needs of the table. We had a great experience overall, and we’ll be coming back during the next vacation.

Anjalou J. was a great server during our visit! The food and service were excellent! Had the seafood basket, blackened redfish, and firecracker fries! Picked up the Shrimp Shack Hot Sauce as well since it was very good with our seafood! Would come back again! Highly recommend if you’re in the area or coming from out of town!
