The food was ok. It tasted fine but most of it was either not hot or seemed like it had been sitting there all day. Very inexpensive, though. I’m willing to give it another try.

I walked into New city buffet with hopes dreams and an appetite. I left with fear regret and a stomach full of emancipation. The food looked good it even smelled good. And for the first few minutes tasted okay. Right up in till whatever ancient curse was cooked into the general tso’s activated. About an hour later after leaving i was praying to every deity from every culture, bargaining, apologizing, and reconsidering every bad decision ive ever made-including choosing this restaurant for dinner. My stomach made sounds im sure violate federal noise ordinances. At one point i swear i saw my soul briefly leave my body. If you want a meal that’s not only a full body detox but also a spiritual awakening this is the place. Otherwise i suggest literally anywhere else and i mean Anywhere. 0 stars. I may have dysentery.

This was our first time here. The service was good. The food was great. We will definitely be coming back. Everything was nice and hot. The place was definitely packed, nice and big. The bathrooms are big and clean. If you need high chairs, they have them. And the price was reasonable.

What’s not to love, all you can eat Chinese along with a variety of American cuisine, desserts, salad bar, Hibachi, and Sushi (made to order or already prepared). New City reminds me of the typical Chinese buffets that pop up in every town. My theory for why they remain so successful? The combination of two things Americans enjoy, one being Chinese cuisine, the other being buffets, both under the same roof for a reasonable price is almost too much to resist. It’s easy to understand why they remain such a successful business.
New City is clean, the staff is prompt, parking is convenient, and the location is easy to find. As for the food, it remains unimpressive like the kind you’d find at a million buffets in a million different towns. The same goes for the atmosphere. I used to visit here more often when my kids were younger only because they thought it was the best restaurant around.

Very busy when we visited but still had good service. Good was fresh and was never waiting on things to be refilled. Love this buffet.

Rented out back room for dad’s 78th birthday and they refused to let us use the large tables. We had a party of 22 people and they split us into 4 tops and we weren’t allowed to push them together. Half way through our party, a group of 6 of the restaurant workers friends came and sat in our rented room. There were 6 of them and they sat them at the 8 top. We rented the room why was our party split but their friends could all sit together?! We will not be back!!

It is an affordable Chinese-American buffet with dishes designed for a westerner’s taste, like we’re used to. The service is exactly what I would expect and want at a buffet, and I think it’s easy to eat your money’s worth, and then some!

My fiance and myself tried this place yesterday, the rice almost broke his tooth, the food was in giant pieces and no knife even at the table. Food was thrown together and very chewy. The variety sucked. It’s like they take no pride in this place at all, and the funeral music they play while u eat feels like ur at a viewing for a funeral!! Never again will I go there. I was so excited to try a new place with good food, this definitely wasn’t it!

The food may have tasted better had it been hot. Nothing was even warm. Not very impressed.
