This was an eclectic little pub with a decently sized menu with pub/diner style food.
I ordered an ARTS FAMOUS BLOODY MARY (MI) to start, which was a super great idea because it included Northern Latitudes Distillery horseradish vodka and Arts house made Bloody mix. Because I’m picky, I asked for no meat, no olives, and an extra pickle. It was perfect .
We also ordered a SKINNY MULE (MI) which ALSO featured something from Northern Latitudes- a ginger liqueur, and Valentine white blossom vodka. It was tasty enough where you almost didn’t notice the lack of ginger beer (because skinny ).
We ordered the JALAPENO POPPERS and FETA & GARLIC DIP as our starters- both were really good and we scarfed them all down pretty quickly.
Service was decently fast and we were able to order our meals without delay. We ordered:
BACON CHEESEBURGER with TATER TOTS
CHEESEBURGER
GRILLED WHITEFISH SANDWICH- cornmeal dusted filet on a brioche bun with tartar on the side.
CHILI CHEESE DOG- topped with Art’s chili with ONION RINGS
Everyone enjoyed their meals. Since it was our friend’s birthday, the staff had us do a shotski- it was my first one and definitely an experience…
Overall we had a great meal and if we’re in town ever again, we’ll probably be back!
We waited nearly an hour for our food. The place was moderately busy. There were several open tables & no wait. I with have asked our server for drink refills while we waited, but she completely disappeared for the entirety of our wait.
Even though we were excited about GF buns, none of the sides were gluten free. We also found out (upon receiving our food) that the sides were not included. We thought that the gluten eaters would at least get fries or something, but that was not the case. The prices are only for burgers, no fries. A side of fries was an extra $5. The GF bun was hard & crumbled apart about halfway through the burger.
We did not realize this place was cash only, but luckily we had a debit card & there was an ATM at the gift shop.
I hope they can get their act together for the future, because it seems like it could be a fun place.
The winner on the table for me was the fudge with local home made vanilla ice-cream, it was absolutely delicious and it just melted in the mouth. One of the best vanilla ice-cream I have ever had.
