As a truck driver, I came to Rogers City, Michigan to drop off a load and coincidentally found this hidden gem. I was their first customer in the morning and they welcomed me so warmly. The owner makes everything from scratch, and you can really taste the quality. Their French toast and butter were very homey smelled wonderful!! and tasted amazingg you can truly feel that it’s homemade. The breakfast was delicious, the coffee was excellent, and everything was great. I even grabbed a few items to go. Such a lovely place. I can’t wait to come back, especially in the summer. Thank you, and hope to see you again!!!

The portions are very generous. Neither of us could finish our breakfast.
The toast is Texas sized and delicious with the jam of the day.
Food is very good.
I could only eat half the meat lovers omelette and my wife good only eat half of the breakfast burrito.
Stop in by and have a wonderful meal!

I guess I wasn’t as lucky as the rest of the people reviewing. The only good part of my experience was the girl who took my order. She was very friendly and accommodating. She answered all my questions. I ordered a western burger cooked medium. It was burnt to a crisp and I got about a child size handful of fries( which I paid extra for with my burger!) OH and it had about a teaspoon of bbq sauce on it. My husband got the Levi omelet. The omelet was decent sized but meh on the stuff inside. We paid for sausage gravy(3$) extra and got about 1/2 cup for 3 DOLLARS! I hate to be negative about any small town place but after spending nearly 40$ for 2 people to eat and the food being not great i just wanted to let others know because when I read reviews all I saw were good ones. Either I’m really unlucky or they have all their friends and family doing the reviews. Or maybe some thing has changed within the last year.

Visiting RC on a cold December day today, we had yet to try this little place. So my wife, son, and I walked in. From the outside, it doesn’t attract, but inside is cozy, uncrowded, and unpretentious.
The menu has all the “diner”-type offerings, with a Montana twist. Our choices started with the fried pickles – crispy, hot, delicious.
We ordered the Crispy Chicken Salad – fresh assorted greens with a large slab of excellent breaded chicken sliced on top. The “Fallon Wrap” was stuffed with steak, cheese, Romaine, tomatoes, peppers, and onions. Served with perfectly cooked slender homemade fries. I ordered the “Badlands Melt Burger” – NOT to be confused with a dull, boring patty melt. This thing was built on a foundation of “Montana” toast – grilled sourdough – with a brand burned into the top! It was stacked with tomatoes, cheese, and premium bacon (Plath’s?). I ordered the onion rings for an extra charge, and they were some of the best I’ve ever had.
The prices were very fair, and the service excellent. We will be hitting this spot again and again when we visit RC!
Photos? HA! The food was devoured before we could take a shot!

Definitely give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed! This little, charming neighborhood restaurant sits a couple of blocks away from Lake Huron. The decor inside is Western and Montana themed.
The food is good and the portions are great. They have a woman that bakes their bread for them and she needs an award. It’s soooooo good! They also have homemade jelly which is excellent with the toast. They sell the bread to take home too which I definitely did. I have only been there for breakfast but everything was good, cooked to order, and always consistent. The coffee is good too!
The service is great no matter who is working. I mostly had Hallie and she is an absolute delight!
I really like this place and I hope you do too!

We stopped in Rogers City while house hunting and discovered Barlik’s 406 Café, which happened to be hosting a free-will donation pancake dinner to support local residents affected by recent SNAP benefit cuts. All of the staff were volunteering their time to give back to their community—such an inspiring thing to see.
Even though we weren’t in the mood for pancakes, the manager kindly offered to make us burgers, despite that part of the kitchen being technically closed. The food was delicious, and our waitress, Allie, was absolutely top-notch. Everyone we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and full of great suggestions for things to see around town.
I highly recommend stopping in for a bite. You won’t be disappointed.

Food and service was amazing both times we went. We got breakfast and went back for dinner. My hubby said the biscuits and gravy were to die for.

I called right before closing and they took my order without any grief. It was a take-home order and it was excellent! The food was awesome and the portions were bigger than most places. It wasn’t slopped together in a hurry either. Even the potato chips were homemade! The onion rings were hand battered too.
