Came here for a spontaneous anniversary lunch. It’s BYOB, which is great because there’s a cute Artesian Wine Store need door! We sat and then I ran over to grab a few libations. For our meals hubby had the Cobb Salad Dinner and a soup. I tried his salad and it was delicious. The onions were fried to perfection! For myself, I ordered the Belgian waffle with fruit, and the avocado toast. Both were so good! The waffle was hearty and not at all dry. The toast was a tad burnt underneath; but perfectly seasoned and topped with pickled radish, sunflower seeds and a poached egg. I ate every bite! The server was attentive and kind. Such a great experience. We will definitely return, when in the area!

My vegetarian days might be well behind me, but I’ve got to pour out some love for the veggie burger at Raymond’s. Every time I order it, I’m freshly in awe of how picturesque this burger is with its towering top bun atop an unimaginably crisped crust. I’ve found a lot of veggie burgers to suffer in taste and texture (I can’t tell you how many have just deteriorated in my hands), but the good people at Raymond’s know how to take care of their plant eaters.
The accompanying fries are the skinny kind. While they’re not my favorite type (mainly because it feels like I have to eat five to eight at a time to feel like I’m tasting the potato) and smaller in serving size, I appreciated they were decently hot and well seasoned.
It wouldn’t be a diner if they didn’t serve breakfast all day, and my breakfast fiend of a husband was positively gleeful over his omelette (all whites can be done upon request). He was even happier with the side serving of salad, which was far from the sad and wilted greens that typically compose a side salad. Instead, this was a robust helping of fresh greens, pepper slices, cherry tomatoes, and cucumbers that took up a whole half of his large plate.
Service is warm, prompt, and faultless – exactly what you’d want from a quintessential diner experience. And while the decor doesn’t add or detract from the good, I also adore the colored bottle displays that I’ve found are signature of all Raymond’s diners (for those who care about such things, it makes for a highly Instagrammable backdrop).

A friend & I ate dinner outside at Raymond’s in Friday evening. It was a cooler evening, but the waitress said she would move us inside if it got humid. Lovely, professional staff, and great indoor and outdoor seating! My friend is a vegetarian and lived her Autumn salad filled with fruit. I devoured my BBQ chicken sandwich and fries. Memorable evening at a popular Montclair staple!!!

Top tier food spot. Got recommended this spot from a leasing office close by (shout out Reggie). Let me set the stage.
My fiance and I were looking for a quick bite and had only like 30 minutes to spare. We got seated during what seemed like a busy Friday lunch time, got out food within 8 minutes, and the food was impeccable. Service was on point as well.
Not sure how they managed to do that, but we were in an out under 25 minutes. We had the breakfast burrito and chicken BBQ sandwich, along with a side of Mac and cheese. Everything was fire and melted in our mouths.
Highly recommend this spot. Pictures were taken a little after we started eating so, but still wanted to include them. Prices are reasonable as well and perfect location and atmosphere. Must visit!

I’ve been coming here for over 20 years. This place is consistent. The food usually comes out in a timely manner, the servers are friendly. most of them have been there for a very long time. Something to mention is the coffee at this place, absolutely incredible. I don’t know where they get their secret beans from, but it’s one of the best cups in town. Try their burrito bowl. I think it’s the best Mexican dish in town. 100%

I’ve really wanted to love this place over the years, but it often falls short. The staff is hit or miss – sometimes friendly, but it’s hard to know who your waiter is when you’re seated, and getting their attention for anything can be a challenge. The hot chocolate is definitely the highlight here. I ordered the avocado toast, but the poached eggs were undercooked and unappetizing. On a positive note, the decor is beautiful and the food is plated nicely.

The place is good. The food is excellent and for this reason is a busy place, so if you want a quick service this spot is not the best option, but if you want to enjoy a good place for breakfast it is. The coffee is lovely. Behind the building is there a place to park the car, in the street, it is not a good idea.
