Was able to make a reservation for 7, which included a 2 year old and a 7 year old. Wanted to be sure we could be served on a January 2026 Saturday for lunch. We were seated away from everyone else for privacy in one large table for 8. Need to walk through gift shop to the left to get to the restaurant. Manager came by to say hello.
Family friendly with children’s menu and coloring pages. Flights and other adult beverages available, but also apple juice, etc. for the kids.
Pulled pork & beef brisket was tasty. The battered seasoned fries along with themacaroni & cheese both had good flavor. No complaints from anyone. My 3 adult kids asked for 3 separate checks and the server had no issues with that request. Server did have help bringing out all our entrees.
The menu did have a family meal for 4, including non-alcoholic drinks for $99, served family style, with meatloaf and fried chicken plus sides and desserts. We did not try it, but I thought it was a good deal.
There was a bar where you could meet up with friends. Nice atmosphere.
Parking is split on 2 levels due to the incline, but no issues with walking the short distance.

GOOD: Service, woodsy-warm atmosphere. Prices were fair and soup was delicious
BAD: The pulled pork was dry on the top layer, underneath it got better and better. The fried chicken was good and well cooked, but the batter needed seasoning.
I would certainly go back to Smokehouse. I loved the warm atmosphere and friendly service. The platter was overall good. My recommendations would be to rotate/mix the pulled pork so it doesn’t catch so much heat on the top layer, and pre season the chicken fry batter. Slightly salted/peppered taste would give the fried chicken a nice boost without the customer having to cover it with the shakers.

Cool BBQ restaurant in Intercourse PA. Not too long of a wait but you can leave your number with the hostess and browse the gift shop until they text you that your table is ready. Once seated our waitress/bartender quickly got our drink orders and once we were served that we put in an order for smoked wings as an appetizer. Dinner followed shortly after. Our kids ate delicious homemade mac and cheese and pasta with marinara (an odd option for a BBQ place but I’m glad they had it) My meal of ribs and fried chicken was ok. Both meats were a little dry. The mashed potatoes were really buttery and the seasonal vegetables were seasoned nicely. My husband enjoyed his half rack of ribs but would have liked them better if they were cooked with BBQ sauce because his were a little dry as well. The desserts were probably the best part of the meal. We ordered one strawberry cheesecake with cookie crumb crust and a large brownie sundae which was large enough for 3 to share. Overall we enjoyed our dinner. The server was polite and attentive and the rest of the staff made sure our table was cleared and we had what we needed.

This place was great. The service was super friendly and the food was delicious. Our server Mark was on point. Made sure we had our drinks refilled and that our food came out quickly. We got some wings and me and my son both got the 2 meat combo platter that comes with 2 sides. The portions are great and so is the price. I would definitely come back and try another combo platter. The fried chicken was delicious!

For the last cpuple of years our family has been coming to the area 2-3 times a year. We like to try a new restaurant when we visit and after passing the Smokehouse in our travels up and down Old Philadelphia and seeing it in all the pamphlets, we were eager to add it our experience with this stay. Sadly, it was an absolute disappointment. The food was cold (appetizers and main plates), the 8 oz brisket plate was served as 3 thick chunks of beef, was tough to cut, lacked flavor and the sides were really bland.
This tasted like institutional BBQ (think hospital cafeteria) and not slow smoked, tender, goodness.
The table behind us complained about the fried chicken and the table next to us complained about the ribs, confirming the issue wasn’t just a one-off with the brisket plate we ordered.
The service was the only fine feature.
Skip Smokehouse and go to Casey Jones.

The place is big lots of seats and smells amazing. I got the two meat platters with burnt ends and pulled pork. It is unsauced so you can add as much or as little BBQ as you want. The burnt end was a bit dry but the pulled pork was great. My wife got the hot honey salmon which was OK.

We were staying the night at Amish View Inn and made reservations for dinner. WOW we highly recommend the staff were wonderful. Recommend making reservations before visiting. We had mash potatoes, fried chicken, brisket & coleslaw. Fried chicken was really good. Brisket a little dry. The only downside is that it gets very noisy hard to hear.

Berto our server took extra care with us. He was attentive to our special needs son and made him feel comfortable throughout the visit. Also my wife recently had esophageal surgery and he understood her restrictions and made sure to accommodate her. He continued to check on our table throughout our visit and asked us not to worry about anything. It is refreshing to have waiters/servers who actually care. Also Colleen the busboy was amazing at her job. She worked tirelessly there while time we were there. The food was really good. I recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.

My husband had a combo platter which includes 1/3 rack of ribs, were seasoned nicely and not smothered in sauce. There is housemade sauce on the table to sauce your own way and brisket. He enjoyed his meal with 2 sides which were fries and Cole slaw.
I had platter also and I picked the brisket and smoked turkey. Same issue with the brisket nice thick slices though. The smoked turkey was wonderful. Nice smoky flavor and moist not dry. I also had fries and Cole slaw. We enjoyed our meal and will return in the future

I just wanted to write a thank you to this business for providing a nice spread/ dinner and dessert’s to the guest at the AmishView Inn during this Exteremly bad snow storm. They didn’t have to do that! We are pretty much stranded here until it’s safe to drive. So, thank you so much! The salad, Mac and cheese and strawberry cake were delicious. Everything looked great. My parents tried your restaurant when they were here a couple months ago they ate there the 2 days they were here it was so good, they said. So, it was exciting to try it before I tried it at the restaurant. Looking forward to the half ckn my mom said it was great! I’m here all week I hope to get in to try it. Thanks again! That was very kind!
