I normally get a chicken sandwich and it’s normally decent. Today I got a smash burger and noticed my bottom bun was soaking wet after sitting a literal pool of its own grease. I’ve never seen such a greasy mess at any other smash burger place including Steak ‘n Shake. The burger is full of inedible gristle. I took two bites and threw it out. This picture is after I soaked up some bun grease.
Service is fast and friendly but what a disgusting burger – won’t ever order another cheeseburger there again.

Poor service and food doesn’t even meet basic Sonic standards. $7.50 for a large chocolate shake that looks white and cup not even fully filled. When i asked if I could have the shake fixed to fill a the size I bought and be the correct color, I was told I would be charged more. Never had this issue in south Reno or sparks locations.

3 visits in a row, I order double cheese burger with no pickles or onions and even get stickers on my burgers reflecting no pickles no onions and yet every burger is loaded with pickles and onions. 3rd and last visit, once again ordered no pickles and onions and I got pickles and onions. I had them remake it. The remake was loaded with pickles and onions and only had 1 slice of cheese and 1 strip of bacon. Never asked for bacon. This place went from a favorite of mine to a not worth my time or money. Nobody even tries or cares anymore..

1.5.24 update: I tried to give this Sonic another chance, but it’s a no-go. I mobile ordered ahead and pulled into a stall when I arrived and checked-in. After waiting over 5 minutes, it said my order was coming out. I waited and waited and waited. I finally pushed the button to talk to someone and explained the situation, to which they told me to wait in the Drive-Thru line when I shouldn’t have had to do so. Now after waiting 20 minutes in the Drive-Thru line I get up to the window and ask for a refund and explain that my food should have been ready 25 minutes ago. They would not honor a refund but offered to re-make my food fresh, threw in a small shake, and gave me a coupon for a free limeade and tater tots. Even though they re-made the food, it was warm at best and the pickled fries were soggy, the mozzarella sticks were gummy, and the hot dog wasn’t hot and they put way too much relish on it. I’m really not one to complain, but the food was terrible. From beginning to end, I spent 45 minutes there. However on a positive note, the strawberry milkshake and blue raspberry slushie were great and the manger was nice and apologetic.
8.28.23: It’s unfortunate this Sonic has gone down hill. I waited in the drive-thru from beginning to end for about 30 minutes. They were having trouble with the intercom and had an employee going from car to car taking hand written orders. I will say he had a great attitude for the situation he was dealing with.
I ordered and tried the new Strawberry Shortcake milkshake they have for the summer and I tasted more vanilla and whipped cream than anything. The last time I came here I tried to order it and they were completely out of ice cream. I also ordered my go to grilled cheese and the cheese to Texas toast ratio was completely off as I tasted more bread and barely any cheese. Because I was hesitant on the milkshake, I also ordered my go to slushy, raspberry with nerds. Loved my slushy as it’s been consistent over the past few years.
I used to be a regular patron and this recent time was giving it another chance. My last visit was a nightmare from beginning to end and actually had to call the 800 to get a refund. I was lucky enough to get a refund and the process was easy.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The so-called “manager” here clearly doesn’t know how to do her job. I ordered chili cheese tots and she gave me plain tots with some sad cheese thrown on top. When I asked for the order to be fixed, she refused and tried to charge me again. Excuse me? That’s YOUR screw-up, not mine. Then she got all aggressive and started snatching things away like a toddler throwing a tantrum. Super embarrassing behavior for someone who’s supposed to be in charge. If this is what “management” looks like here, it’s no wonder the food and service are trash. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere that actually respects their customers.

When I ordered a 1ft long coney, I was expecting to have the normal amount of chili. This time, im highly disappointed. As well as a small drizzle of chili on the fries. Why pay the price they are if you get jipped on the chili amount for the serving.

In my opinion these are the best fast food burgers in town. The balance among taste, size, and price is ok. Extra point for the ice-coffee, it is delicious; though it is also apparently the only burger place including it in its menu

Food was ready by the time we moved from the ordering station to the window. It was soggy and obviously pre made and kept under a light. The fries were limp and undercooked. This was only our second time visiting a Sonic. The first was years ago, and our experience was similar. We decided to try again, but will not give them a third chance.

I was there to get one of there new cold brew coffees last night. I sat at the drive thru box, no body came on to greet me. There were three other cars ahead of me that had no problems. So I sat at the ordering box until the last car was served and drove away. I then drove up to the window and no one was there. Again I sat there waiting until someone showed up. Once the fourth car pulled in behind me I drove away and went to Wendy’s. I will never go back to this place; I know people won’t care to lose a customer but they really should. Get some sort of management at these places and have some customer service etiquette.
