Very disappointing experience at Shivas Dosa Restaurant. We went in expecting a good deal with the $7.99 masala dosa offer, but unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations at all.
The masala dosa itself was very average in taste. The dosa lacked that crisp, golden texture and rich flavor you’d typically expect. The biggest letdown was the potato filling — it was made up of large, chunky pieces with barely any seasoning. There was no real flavor, no proper tempering, and none of the comforting, spiced masala taste that makes a dosa enjoyable.
We’ve had dosas at several other places, and this one was by far one of the most underwhelming. Even at $7.99, it didn’t feel like good value considering the quality. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience overall.

I visited the place with my friends a few weeks back. Nice place for a dosa (no doubt about it).
I also ordered paya soup which was ok. Else we ordered to different dosas, it was delicious.
Ambient was nice and clean.
Servers could have been a little pleasant and welcoming.
Washrooms were kept clean (no bad odour)
Lots of parking available.
All over must try food.
I will definitely give it another try.

I tried their medu vada with sambar, 10-piece idli sambar, and South Indian filter coffee—everything was perfect. The taste was truly authentic, just like what you get in South India. The sambar was flavorful, the idlis were soft and fresh, and the medu vada was crispy on the outside and fluffy inside.
Portions were generous, and the filter coffee was aromatic and rich—exactly how it should be.
If you’re craving delicious South Indian food with great quantity and quality, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Had medu vada, filter coffee and dosa, one of the best taste and prices we have seen in a while. The chicken chukka just melts, cooked to perfection, Super delicious! Poonguzhali and Smrithi were excellent and very polite ❤️

I have been taking there a few times and wanted to call out the flavorful food. The dosas served with piping hot sambar (frequent refills) and coconut chutney are to die for. Their non veg dishes are great too. It is definitely a go to place for me and family.
Also the ambience is very relaxed and the customer service quite hospitable.

Great experience at Siva’s Dosa! Special thanks to Poonguzhali and Divya for their exceptional service. They were very friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better.
The food was also really good. I ordered the Ambur biryani and idli, and both were delicious.

Ordered Ambur Chicken Dum Biryani on a weekday (Tuesday). The chicken was rotten and clearly spoiled. It was obvious that old, stale chicken was mixed with a few fresh pieces to cut corners. This is completely unacceptable and unsafe.
Serving spoiled food is not just bad quality it’s a serious health risk. Absolute lack of hygiene and honesty.
Avoid this place at all costs if you care about your health or expect fresh food.

We had dinner here and received amazing service from Divya and Prasant. There’s ample parking and plenty of space to accommodate big families. You’ll enjoy authentic South Indian flavors accompanied by pleasant music.
