Food was delicious as always. Ambiance is spot on, Waitstaff is always very attentive at lunch time. Prices are more than fair for the amount and flavor of the dishes. I always have enough food to take home. Dining here is always a lovely experience.

Used to be a very good place to go but the past few visits everything has gone downhill. Their service has gotten worse with the last time the server not even asking how everything was or if we needed anything. The food has been cold or room temperature. I’m not typically one to leave a review but this place has gone from a great place to go to a place that absolutely sucks.

This location is their worst one. The “Special La Casa” wasn’t special at all. They use ground beef, not the shredded beef tips like the other locations. Zero flavor whatsoever and barely enough liquid cheese to cover. But what really stood out for it’s GROSS mediocrity was their birria tacos. They feel like an absolute after thought. Their consume was not cooked and simmered with all of the love and spices one associates good birria with. This felt like a watery, made from a packet soup. But the worst part was the disgustingly oily slapped together corn tacos. Again, super light on the cheese and some shredded beef tips in the oily mess. Not the good kind of red oil, made from the slow roasted birria meat one comes to expect from great Jalisciense tacos. This was the very definition of phoning it in. No heart, no soul, no flavor. Basically, their birria has no business being on the menu.
Server never came back to check on us and the manager could have cared less when I told him it was the worst meal I’ve had at La Caretta in the 40 years I’ve been coming here.
Skip the lines and the mediocre food and service here and go to Langhorne or Madison Heights locations where everything is better.

This restaurant is my kind of Mexican food. What I mean is that you can go authentic or you can go “fancy”. This location offers the new wave type of Spanish food while still offering the standard combo plates which are my favorites! There is always plenty of food on the plates and chips come to the table as soon as you sit down! We have had great service every time and prices are more than reasonable. My only wish is that I did not have to drive from Roanoke to Lynchburg just to eat there! Five stars for a job well done!

Relatively middle of the road Mexican food. Probably slightly better executed than many places. Cocktails right around average. Skip the sangria. Our server actually warned us. The sangria is overly sweet. We cut it 50/50 with club soda, and that just about fixed it. It’s a better idea to go with something else.

Awesome place for good food and drink. This places atmosphere is as good as the food is. And the food is good. We went here for lunch and had a great time and meal. The food is really tasty. The service is good. Saw a guy make fresh guacamole table side for another couple. Awesome. The price to quantity and quality is on point. The restaurant decor is great. Definitely going back when I’m in town. Try them out!

Excellent food at La Carreta. We were just passing through Lynchburg on our trip and stopped in, and I’m so glad we did. The prices were really reasonable for the portions with lots of menu options. Everything we ordered was hot and fresh and tasted great. Fast and friendly service and the theming was really nice!

We were greeted with hellos and smiles. The restaurant was authentically decorated and family friendly. Our food came out in about 5 minutes and was very good! Free chips and salsa. Great service. We’ll definitely be back!
