This must be one of the best restaurants in the area of Vail. Authentic Italian food served in a delicate way. Friendly staff. Good suggestions for us hungry Norwegians. Strongly recommend this place.

Campo is my favorite Italian in the valley. Miera is the best restaurant manager ever! She always super friendly and helpful. We never have had a bad experience here. Wine selection is more than adequate. Hats off to the kitchen staff food is out quick and taste is great!

One of my favorite restaurants in Vail. An excellent representation of classic Italian food. The prosciutto and melon is delicious and the gnocchi bolognese is not to be missed. Excellent Italian wine selection with a few domestic options as well. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. In traditional European style they do pack quite a few people in on busy nights so be prepared for close quarters.

Excellent food and service. Been here a couple times and one of our favorite spots in Vail. Some nice wine options, homemade pasta, along with the freshest mozzarella caprese I have ever had. Overall menu had good options of meat and seafood dishes. A neat restaurant on the second floor with an open kitchen and balcony housing a few tables outside.

Absolutely fantastic
We walked in the day after Thanksgiving at 7pm and while the place was very busy, they made every effort to seat us. We decided to sit at the bar instead. The bar has about 6 seats where one can comfortably eat.
During our time there we chatted with Scott, the bartender, who was amazing at his job and also very good to talk to.
The food was delicious. I had the Penne Vodka and we also had Gnocchi with an arrabiata source and Italian sausage in there since we wanted the gnocchi on the menu but without mushrooms (which was not possible) based on Scott’s recommendation.
Again, it was a great time and we will definitely go back.

The ABSOLUTE best, authentic Italian food I’ve had in the state of Colorado! I’m 100% Italian and lived in Rome for 4 years and after my first bite of my penne caprese I felt like I was back in Rome. Phenomenal food, wait staff, and menu. Living in Denver now and wish there was still one here. Love, love, love!!!!! Thank you Campo Di Fiori for the amazing food experience! =)

My husband and I decided to visit Vail and stopped at this restaurant for dinner. Probably one of the best Italian restaurants we’ve eaten at. I had the Penne e Vodka and it was incredible! We were both very pleased with the service as well.

Campo de Fiori is an excellent italian restaurant located in the heart of Vail Village. I had Caciucco, which was elegant in its simplicity. Just a broth with seafood, it tasted excellent. My wife had the seafood of the day (Swordfish) and salad, both of which were quite good. Their complimentary bread and olive oil were although delicious. I really enjoyed this place.

Everything was excellent — the food, wine, decor, service, open windows — with one exception.
I ordered the super yummy roasted vegetable ravioli with pesto (instead of butter sauce) and another in my party swapped out one type of past for another. The waiter was quick and happy to do so, but then each of those swaps incurred a $3 charge on the bill. we should have been informed about this unfair and unnecessary charge.

I had the risotto and my partner had the gnocchi. Both my favorites normally, but they were both less than mediocre in flavor and texture. The risotto of the day had sausage, prosciutto and brussel sprouts, all ingredients I enjoy, but the flavors and textures did not marry well at all and the prosciutto seemed to be missing entirely. I’m convinced they just use whatever ingredients were left over or in excess for this dish since it’s a daily mish-mash. I normally expect the texture to be creamy and rich, but it was neither. The gnocchi was similarly dense in it’s ragu-like base, rather uneventful tasting. The caprese salad appetizer was nicely done, with fresh flavorful mozzarella; fluffy and delicate yet rich. Perfectly paired with the thick tomato wedges, arugula and balsamic vinegar.
It’s extremely over-priced and the waiter was presumptuous. He quickly forced a bottle of wine on us then walked away before we could protest. The bottle was “normally $154” but he “gave us a deal” at $115. He seemed displeased at us splitting an appetizer. His subtle forcefulness stemming from us being accompanied a regular customer who is wealthy. Our bill came out to 350 with tip for the wine, 3 appetizers, 3 awful pasta dishes and 1 meat entree. Worst value of my life.
The portions were fine, and the atmosphere was pleasant with the murals and music, although excessively dark. Excluding the presumptiveness of the server, the service was otherwise excellent. But overall, awful value and would not return.
