The bathroom was clean, sinks wiped, hand soap/paper towels nicely stocked. Wall papers carefully chosen. Radiating elegance.
To those who are aiming for a light meal, nothing too rich or heavy sauces, a simple clear broth of a large bowl wonton soup is a good choice. Thinly sliced brown mushrooms, a few tasty steamed tender wontons topped with large leaves of spinach/small pieces of chicken.
Presentation was attractive. The broth was good, a simple delicious soup base yet it’s satisfying with all of the ingredients combined and cooked to perfection.
A recommendation. To wake up more flavors, add some sesame oil to the soup base, this is the magic ingredient to an authentic bowl of real wonton soup. It’ll bring the wonton soup to the next level.
My business associate’s Mongolia beef rice dish scored high. She ordered the special lunches, and came with an appetizer/soup.
Visual ambiance lighting overhead is cozy with a warm modern dining experience.
A business lunch. Scored a 5 stars for the restaurant’s eminence.
Menu prices are average like anywhere you would go to $$.
Noise level, average scale, not loud; you can still talk and hear each other..
The mighty presence of the gold horse out front is grand. Horse presents power, freedom, vitality, spirit, strength/high ranking.
P. F. Chang is a gem, knocked it out of the park atmosphere and somewhat felt like home. A fun-cool-classy Asian bistro.
Will circle back.
Displeased to see plastic. More plastic. More moisture. Smaller portions.
I haven’t been to P.F. Chang’s in person in a while, but I will definitely, never, order it again, on DoorDash. I prefer the paper square containers. It keeps better, to warm up later.
We need to proclaim to restaurants that putting food in plastic containers or Styrofoam adds to the moisture, and takes away from the overall presentation and flavor.
Good things:
– Restaurant was clean and comfortable.
– Staff were very friendly and professional.
– Wait time after ordering was quick.
A few issues:
– Biggest issue: Our group of 8 people purchased almost $200 in food. The fried rice portion (they group it together for multiple orders) that came out was well below what we felt was reasonable and when we asked for more they wouldn’t give it to us without charging for the extra rice. This was our only request after receiving the food. Not a great look, especially with so much food ordered.
– Moderate issue: Our waitress, though very kind, would disappear for lengthy stretches of time. For example, after giving her our card, we were waiting for over 10 minutes before she came back. Not a notable issue on its own, but she was frequently nowhere to be found.
Our server was prompt and friendly, quickly taking our drink and food orders. We chose the Chef’s Feast for Two for $19.99 each. I had the spicy chicken (a $4 upcharge) with brown rice and my wife tried the honey chicken with ham fried rice (also a $4 upcharge) & drink ($3.79). We started with pork egg rolls and added egg drop soup and a house salad as sides.
The food came out quickly and was really good. While the service after the food arrived could have been a bit more attentive, especially with drink refills. It was still decent overall.
The atmosphere was lively and colorful, typical of many Asian restaurants. It was a bit louder than average due to the crowd, and the tables were fairly close together, but it added to the vibe of the place.
Overall, we really enjoyed the meal. It was slightly on the pricey side, but the quality and portions made it worthwhile. If we hadn’t gone with the feast for two, our bill would’ve been around $70.
We’re looking forward to coming back and trying more of their entrees. Definitely worth checking out!
