Our group made a stop for a great lunch today at Slyman’s tavern in Independence, OH. Our waitress Kareena was great, super personable and helpful. We all had different sandwiches and where super impressed with what we where served. The cocktails where really fun and good. I personally had the triple deli and would highly recommend it. Another in our group had the rueban and feels it may be the best corned beef he’s ever had. Two thumbs up and 5 stars from the crew from Wisconsin.

Menu: Not a lot to choose from which is good because they know what they are good at. I ordered a chicken sandwich, it was okay, fried dark and crunchy, pickle was good. Food came out quick. Service was okay. Quiet atmosphere, a nice size restaurant, football Sunday and it wasn’t even busy. If you like sandwiches I recommend. Kind of pricey.

I remember going here as a child when it was downtown and going here now it is just as good as it was back then. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. Definitely recommend to others whether your a returning customer from the past or a first time customer, you will enjoy it.

From start to finish, my birthday dinner here was such a wonderful experience! Our server was absolutely amazing and went out of her way to make the evening feel extra special. I ordered the Reuben sandwich while my little one had the kids’ version, and both were fresh, tasty, and packed with flavor. Every bite was spot on! I also tried the Elvis Juice, which turned out to be a perfect match with my meal.

This restaurant has amazing food. They are known for their extremely large corned beef and Reuben sandwiches. Our orders were taken quickly and our food arrived as ordered. We visited on a late Friday afternoon. As we ate, the restaurant had an increasing number of patrons. This was our 2nd trip to this restaurant, and we look forward to visiting many times in the future.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Slyman’s for the first time. I only have one small complaint – we had to wait awhile to be seated and had to wait even longer – about 10 minutes – for a server to greet us after asking another worker if she was our server. It wasn’t crowded at the time either. Once our server arrived, she did a nice job. We loved our amazing meals and plan to come back to Slyman’s for another Reuben in the near future.

Came in and decided to get a corned beef sandwich of course they have the leanest and the best corned beef in town. I had a wonderful waitress named Amanda she was the best. Didn’t need to write nothing down and her personality was over the top. Bubbly and full of life, I think she was the best waitress I’ve ever had. First time visit. Coming from the East Side to try the famous sandwich! Excellent corned beef! Excellent Reuben sandwich! Tasty potato pancakes! Drinks were refreshing. Service was prompt and friendly. Would definitely visit again!

The corned beef used on the French fries looked like wet cat food. It was not sliced, more like a pate’ that you get with canned corned beef hash.
