The beer list is great, with a good mix of their own brews and guest taps. I had the Hazer Tag NEIPA, which was super hoppy with really bright passionfruit and citrus notes – very much my kind of beer. Food-wise, the Wynkoop burger is the one to order: properly comforting, juicy, and ideal with a cold pint.
We happened to visit when they had a dark beer event on upstairs (the “Day of Darks”), which was cool. And seems they also do a really good weekday lunch deal ($15 for a cheeseburger, fries and a pint).
On another visit, we shared a few bar snacks: elote dip, nachos and fried pickles. All tasty (though the elote dip was a touch salty for my liking), and the portions were… genuinely enormous. Or maybe we still need to get used to US serving sizes
All in all, a really solid, no-fuss Denver stop for good beer, hearty food and a lively atmosphere – the kind of place you’re glad to have on your list when you just want something easy and reliably good.
There is lots of space to sit, both inside and out but my party and I were just there for a drink so we stood.
On ball game days, drafts are an amazing $4, which is hard to beat. I went with their Rail Yard Ale and thought it was very fresh and easy to drink.
There is a full service kitchen and the food that I saw people eating looked very appetizing. Certainly a place to visit before going to a Rockies game with that great beer deal.
Edit: I had initially left a review complaining about contradictory instructions on how to get pool balls on a friday night. Management reached out to me and made things right.
We actually went through our entire planned appetizer menu within the first 30 minutes, and the team at Wynkoop graciously refilled our apps last minute to accommodate our group without hesitation.
Everything ran smoothly, the food was great, and the service truly stood out. We would highly recommend hosting any gathering here—and especially if Bryan is your server. An excellent experience from start to finish.
Tables are well-spaced and the beer selection was great. We grabbed a couple of IPAs (filtered) and hit the green! Food came out fast and the menu is diverse enough to feed our special picky eater.
I’d recommend they get some cues that are straight (1 out of the 20 we checked were hella bad, that 1 was tolerable at best), otherwise you may need to bring your own. Balls are okay with a few missing a chip here and there.
Get the beer cheese pretzel and the Sheppard’s Pie, you won’t be disappointed with eother. Or both!!
Just a couple blocks from Coors Stadium. Watch for crowds from 4p onwards on game nights.
Had a really nice time for a late lunch and hope to be back soon! Thanks Zack!
