Drinks were a strong start: the House Margarita was solid, and the Sangria Spritz was especially delicious. For appetizers, we had the Crab Rangoon-nothing extraordinary, but still enjoyable.
From the sushi bar, we ordered several Happy Hour rolls: Roja, Cabo, Hawaiian, Tidal Wave, and Itchy Salmon. Honestly, I expected them to feel “watered down” since they were part of a happy hour menu, but I was pleasantly surprised. Each one was fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared.
I’d happily return many more times.
Service: unmatched. *Waiter: Patrick*
Food: incredible.
Let me start by saying this — I don’t eat fish, and I normally dislike sushi… but my wife loves it. We decided to try this place, and honestly, I’m glad we did.
The service here is on another level. My wife wanted to pour her own wine, and the server happily let her (you can see it in the picture). I also asked for menu recommendations and got real, honest answers — not just the usual “everything is good” line. We were treated like VIPs without ever needing to be one, and that alone sets this place apart.
Now for the food: outstanding. My wife said this is officially our new go-to spot for sushi — and I agree. Even as someone who doesn’t like fish, I ended up loving the Lion King roll. That’s saying something.
If you’re searching for great sushi and service that truly stands out, this is the spot. Just go try it.
I called ahead asking for my rainbow roll to be made without big-eye tuna. The gentleman assured me he would tell the chefs. I still got big-eye tuna on my roll. My first bite was met with bitterness and I realized I ate poop. The shrimp was not properly de-veined.
My south pacific roll’s unagi was chewy and unpleasant to eat. Some rolls were falling apart. The overall quality and portion of all the fish was a vast contrast to my previous visits.
When you pay this much for sushi, you expect high-quality. These rolls barely met the bar for mediocre. Save yourself the trouble and go to the other location.
If you’re deciding what to order, skip the mango crab rangoon and crispy salmon skin roll, as they were average and not worth it compared to the rest of the menu. Definitely try the Crunchy Red Roll and the Jalapeño Popper, our top two favorites!
… perhaps something of a sushi fusion when it comes to a few dishes (looking at you Cowgirl), but a very wide variety of unique and delicious rolls!
They have upped their game to about fifteen veg rolls, like the Shiitake-to-Me, the Crunchy Cabbage Roll, and the Princes Roll. They use unique and flavorful ingredients like Seitan, teriyaki eggplant, Sriracha aioli, mango, and a number of tempura vegetables.
There are a number of tasty appetizers too, like their uniquely seasoned edamame, lettuce wraps, and roasted Brussels Sprouts which comes in a delicious citrus sauce…
They even have a few dessert options!
Their staff has generally been very friendly and knowledgeable, they were great on our last visit.
I have been eyeing the sushi boat for years but typically have only been there with one or two people, finally got around to ordering one (a couple now)! It was fun to share. Very simple, basically if you order at least 6 rolls and they have a boat available, you can request a sushi boat … Which holds at most 9 rolls.
If you aren’t specifically looking for a romantic evening, they usually have a handful of rolls on their happy hour menu which makes it a good bit more affordable. Definitely worth seeing if the timing works for you.
The atmosphere is clean, pleasant, a bit modern and interestingly decorated.
