The cheese platter stood out in particular—excellent selection, perfectly matured cheeses, and well-matched accompaniments that elevated the whole course. Service was polished yet warm, and the pacing of the meal felt relaxed and intentional. While the food leans more toward classic fine dining rather than pushing boundaries, the overall experience was elegant, consistent, and very enjoyable. A memorable evening with food that’s confidently done and genuinely delicious.
From the moment you arrive, high above Melbourne with those sweeping skyline views, you know you’re somewhere exceptional. The space is dramatic yet refined – luxurious without feeling intimidating. The team were warm, polished, and effortlessly professional, striking that rare balance between world-class precision and genuine hospitality.
The food was phenomenal. Each dish looked beautifully restrained and deceptively simple, but when we spoke to the staff about the construction behind them, it was mind-blowing to hear the level of technique, time, and preparation involved. The precision, balance, and clarity of flavour were just on another level.
What truly elevated the experience were the moments beyond the table. We were given a tour of the kitchen, had the opportunity to create a dish inside the kitchen ourselves, and finished the afternoon with a photo alongside the chefs and front of house team – something I’ll genuinely treasure.
And as if that wasn’t enough, a lovely final touch was receiving a follow-up email detailing everything we ate and drank. It brought the whole experience full circle and allowed us to relive it again afterwards – such a thoughtful gesture.
Vue de Monde isn’t simply a restaurant. It’s theatre, artistry, hospitality and memory-making wrapped into one unforgettable afternoon. This is one experience you absolutely cannot miss. And for me, one I will truly never forget.
The flavours were too sickly sweet and contrasted with bland in each dish, there wasn’t one of the servings that we were happy with.
The venue was stifling hot, appreciate that it was a hot day, but you would expect the air conditioning to work in a building 55 floors up in a fine dining restaurant. The view is amazing except for the dirty windows you look through, and it was very loud in the restaurant with every now and then all the chefs yelling “yes chef” throughout the evening. Not what I would call a fine dining experience. The staff were lovely but we couldn’t hear them when they would serve the food and explain what we were eating because it was so loud in the restaurant.
Perhaps fancy isn’t for us. We would not return due to the experience of the food and the expense for 2 people.
Sorry Vue de monde!
The wait staff were truly amazing and really did everything to break the mold of robot waiters, they added their own personal touch which was well received. The dining area was spacious and left the experience very intiment.
The food was a absolute culinary masterpiece. The flavors and the textures and unique paintings of some foods left an orgasmic explosion in your mouth. We celebrated our 40th birthdays at Vue we made the most perfect choice of restaurants for this momentous occasion.
The chefs tour of the kitchen added a whole new element to the experience, With Wealth of knowledge and overall experience every section of the kitchen was explaon in great detail by the Sous Chef who was a very funny yet very professional man.
We enjoyed a photo with the chefs and the topped out the experience for us it was beautiful. After this we returned to our table to find beautiful personalized birthday cards signed by the staff. It was truly a night and experience that we will remember forever and pass on the message to as many people as possible. Highly recommended
One of the most meaningful dining experiences we have had anywhere in the world. Highly recommended.
This was our second visit in 12 months, and I arrived with exceptionally high expectations after such an outstanding first experience. With dining, you don’t always expect things to be better the second time around—you simply hope for consistency. Given how hard it would be to top our previous visit, I remained optimistic but realistic.
What followed completely exceeded those expectations.
I genuinely didn’t think our earlier experience could be surpassed, yet it was utterly blown away. The generosity of the team and the genuine care they show for one another is immediately evident and clearly driven from the top. This team represents the very pinnacle of hospitality, creating experiences that are truly unforgettable.
Of course, the food is incredible and the views are breathtaking—but it’s the team that makes everything sing. They can only be described as Exceptional!
They handled complex allergy requirements with remarkable care, never once making us feel like an inconvenience. Each of the 11 or so courses were perfectly portioned and timed. We had to decline the cheese course as we were so full!
Every dish flowed into the next with thoughtful precision, each complementing the previous and what was to come. My highlights included; the garlic and leek tart, wagyu and damper, and the ice cream sandwich. The Million Dollar Baby cocktail was a heavenly must from Lui Bar. This paired with the views made the evening even more memorable.
At the end, they presented a handwritten birthday card, which was a beautiful personal touch. It’s those small gestures, paired with flawless service and exceptional food, that make the Vue de Monde team truly world class. We are so grateful to the team for making the night unforgettable, and we will definitely be back.
What a way to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary.
Simply exquisite, the flavour profiles, the execution and delivery of every dish did not disapoint. We have been fortunate to have dined at some of the Worlds best, Martin Berasetagui & Arzak in San Sebastián, Fat Duck & Dinner by Heston Blumenthal and more recently Restaurant Dan Arnold in Brisbane and Vue Du Monde is another that sits with the very best. The service was on point, the Wine list extensive and amazing and the entire experience was absolutely sensational, we will be back! Thank you Team Vue Du Monde, you absolutely nailed it.
Celebrating our 4 year anniversary at Vue de Monde felt like pressing pause on the world for a while — just the two of us, high above the city, being quietly and beautifully looked after.
From the very beginning, the service felt almost dreamlike. Chairs gently pulled out and tucked back in, every movement thoughtful and unspoken, as if the room itself was paying attention. Nothing felt forced or formal — just an effortless kind of care that made us feel genuinely special without ever making a fuss.
The food was next level. Thoughtful, precise, and deeply emotional. Each course arrived like a small moment in time — the kind that makes you slow down, share a look, and sit in the silence for a second because words aren’t quite necessary. It was refined without being cold, creative without trying too hard. Just bloody beautiful food.
A huge part of the night was our sommelier, Fergus. Knowledgeable in a way that never felt intimidating, warm in a way that felt instantly familiar. His conversation was easy, engaging, and genuinely human — the kind of person who can talk wine with depth but also have a laugh and read the room perfectly. He made the experience feel relaxed, personal, and quietly celebratory.
We were also wonderfully looked after by Ben, whose knowledge and courteous nature added another layer of ease to the evening. Calm, attentive, and thoughtful, he embodied the same quiet excellence that defines the service at Vue de Monde.
One of the most touching moments came at the end — a lovely signed note congratulating us on our anniversary. A small gesture, but one that perfectly summed up the night: thoughtful, personal, and full of heart.
Vue de Monde didn’t just give us a meal — it gave us a memory. A night that felt intimate, considered, and deeply meaningful. The kind of experience that reminds you why you celebrate love in the first place.
We’ll carry this one with us for a long time.
