I was excited to go to Stoneys Bread Company in Oakville as I read some pretty good reviews. Upon arriving I noticed the difficulty with parking which is a small issue but not the fault of the restaurant. You line up to order like you would at a fast food chain but the main difference here is that you are asked for a tip on your transaction. You also have to fill and carry your own water to the table. In my opinion the cost does not equal the level of service provided.

I had the lamb sandwich and it was overly saucy and fell apart while I was trying to eat it. It did not feel like a good value for what you get. We also tried a curry chicken sandwich which was just okay. While I did not take photos of them the salads looked much better and likely taste good.

I am not afraid to pay for a good meal and have visited many extravagant places but I just did not find this location up to par. It feels like a hybrid of a fast food restaurant combined with a regular sit in establishment. Overall I hope they have continued success but I do not think I would return unless it was because others really wanted to go.

We have never had a bad meal here. Great outside patio. Always pretty busy as it’s a popular restaurant. Very generous large portions. The grilled chicken Caesar salad $20 is a large portion and delicious. I had the curried chicken sandwich $19 which has bacon, roasted red pepper, pico de gallo,Swiss cheese, mixed greens on a rosemary panini. Also ordered the Alsacian chicken sandwich $19 with Brie cheese, apple onion confit, garlic aioli, mixed greens on a ciabatta bun. Have also often ordered the Calabria sandwich $19 which is one of my favourites too as well as the pizza which is great.

Already a great start to my visit. Stopped here for some house made sandwiches with home baked bread.

Every sandwich ordered what made with their own style of bread, the meat was perfect, juicy, with their own pairing in sauce and salad. You can tell that they were made with care.

If you’re ever in the area you should definitely give the place a try, fantastic!

The worst brunch experience I have ever had in my life. My family used to frequent Stoney’s for years and wow has it ever gone down hill. I had the French toast and my mom had the crepe Brettone. The crepe brettone looked like a burrito more than a crepe and the French toast was a disgrace. The bread was like cardboard and it wasn’t fully soaked in the egg mixture, it was like eating straight up bread I couldn’t even finish one piece of it. I ended up just eating the fruit on the plate. To top things off the couple beside us flossed their teeth at the table, which is one of the most disgusting things I’ve ever witnessed someone do in a restaurant. The menu is high priced and it’s a self serve cafeteria style dinning area where you get your own water. Would never go back, not even if you paid me.

Great spot to grab a bite to eat. They have a variety of items on their menu, pizza, pasta, salads, sandwiches and soups. They also have coffee and sweets

You order your food up front, take a seat and they bring it to your table. It was quite busy, but food took less than 15min to come out

Food is fresh and flavourful. Portions are a great size. The mains don’t come with any sides, but you can always add a soup.

The pecan tart is the best I’ve ever had

Food has been great every single time. Some of my favourites upcoming for the fall season include their squash and pear soup which is unique (not pictured below). Friendly staff and delicious food. Your leftovers will leave you wanting to return for more!

Food was really good, and portion sizes are very generous. Got the maple salmon salad and quinoa salmon salad. Would definitely recommend these.

Food is always top notch. Gets busy at lunch time so not a spot for a quick stop if you’re on a time crunch. Order ahead of time to pickup cause it is definitely worth it.

My wife and I dropped in for lunch. We tried the pepperoni pizza and the Nove Chicken sandwich. You have to order your food and then pay for it at the counter. Then they hand you an order number and then you can be seated. This was my first visit so now I know.

The Nove chicken sandwich was ultra delicious . The chicken was tender and well seasoned. The ciabatta bun was perfectly toasted and the greens and sauce was heavenly. This gets 10 stars all day long. The service also gets 10 stars ✨ easily .

The pepperoni pizza was freshly made, but the crust was frozen and the pizza sauce was on the sweet side. So I am not a fan of this pizza unfortunately.

Nonetheless, the service and the eclectic atmosphere gets a thumbs up from me.

Happy eats everyone

Tucked into Kerr Village, Stoney’s Bread Company is the kind of place that restores your faith in simple, honest food. You walk in, order at the counter, grab a seat, and they bring it to you. No awkward waiting for a server. No dance with the bill. You eat, you enjoy, you leave. Beautiful.

Staff were warm and helpful, the kind of people who know their menu and actually want you to enjoy your meal. I went with the Calabria sandwich and a side salad. The sandwich was a knockout. Juicy chicken, bold sauce, balanced flavors. The salad was crisp and fresh with just the right amount of dressing.

We sat out on the patio — shaded, covered, with a solid awning that kept the brutal heat at bay. A perfect spot for people watching along the main drag of Kerr Village.

Real food, real people, done right.
