The Rio was amazing. As soon as we got in, we were seated at the bar. The staff was attentive, personable, and made us feel at home. We started with a wonderful house salsa, and we got their queso which was to die for. For an entree we got a fajita for 2 with mushrooms. The mushrooms were the best mushrooms I have had, and the tomatoes were grilled to perfection. The Fajita platter for 2 was big enough that we filled up, and had enough to take home to make leftovers, and we aren’t particularly light eaters.

I paid surprisingly less than I was expecting for one of the best dining experiences I have had in Greeley. If you enjoy great food and a cozy beautiful atmosphere, definitely give The Rio a try.

First time here. There were 5 in our party. Nice decor. It took almost an hour to get our food. Our server was good about refilling our chips but overlooked refilling our water carafes. Food was good. I had the Grilled Chicken Quesadillas and we all shared the Rio Trio Sampler (guacamole, chile con queso, classic green salsa) which were all tasty. Someone at our table had the Grilled Skirt Steak Burrito. I sampled the steak and it was flavorful and the green chili was spicy. I was surprised that they didn’t offer any ground beef options for tacos or burritos. Overall I would have given 5 stars if the wait for our food didn’t take so long.

Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant offers a great dining experience overall. The food is good, though not quite perfect, but the atmosphere is absolutely fantastic. The waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive, which added to the positive experience. On a nice day, the patio seating is a must, especially with its prime location in downtown Greeley. We tried the steak fajitas, which were enjoyable and flavorful. It’s definitely worth a visit for the welcoming vibe and relaxing outdoor seating!

One of the best restaurants downtown. It feels like a Greeley staple, “gotta come get a rio marg”. Now the margs are ten bucks a shared fajita skillet is 45 bucks. Food prices everywhere are high right now I know but this makes it hard to enjoy. The food is good. The service is excellent. We had an issue with some of our food and the manager came over and made it right. The music feels disconnected sometimes like club EDM stuff or early 2000’s pop. They really need more acoustic treatment in the dinning areas to help reduce the ambient noise. But overall it’s a great option to go get some good food/margaritas.

My family visited the Rio yesterday and were so happy with our visit. Our drinks were delicious, and each of us enjoyed our meals. My youngest loved the tacos off the kids menu while my oldest loved the fajitas. I really like the Rio salad and the green chili soup. We enjoyed it all so much that we ordered the churros which were yummy! The atmosphere was fun and our server was friendly and attentive. Thanks! We’ll definitely be back.

Starting out with the chips and salsa, very good!!! And free refills. Great taste to the salsa. The waitress kept my drink full the whole time, awesome job Lacey!! I ordered the steak and chicken fajitas. Sooo much food!! Flavor was spot on. Spices on the steak and chicken were just right. I eat a lot of Mexican food all over the midwest and this restaurant ranks up there with some of the best. Go give it a try!!

As always, it’s a great place to meet with friends and family, and you always run into someone you know. The food arrives pretty quickly and is always hot and fresh, no matter how busy they are. There are several dining areas, including the large outdoor dining space, which is great on Friday nights when there are so many people to watch! The indoor dining can be pretty noisy and, for some, difficult for conversation. Food is pretty standard “Mexican” and portion size is adequate. I can say that I’ve never had anything that really stands out, but I’ve always been satisfied with what they’ve served.

This has been one of my favorite restaurants for a long time! The salsa is so good, and the steak burrito is incredible. Be sure to ask for it baked so the cheese is all melted on top!

Well that was disappointing, I ordered the steak tostada it came with a full size deep fried tortilla which was ok. But not the huge handful of lettuce and maybe a table spoon of tomatoes and teaspoon of guacamole and and a teaspoon of cheese, and on the side was a burnt hockey puck size of steak that I had to cut up. wont be back

Fun happy hour, great margaritas, good street tacos (kinda small), friendly service. The outdoor patio is great in the summer. If you’re up in Greeley this Rio is every bit as good as the one in Boulder.
