Great steak and an incredible whiskey selection. The bar alone is impressive and sets a beautiful atmosphere. Service was solid and the food was well executed.
Only downside — the bar chairs weren’t very comfortable. I’m 4’11” and my feet were hanging, which made it a little awkward to sit for a full meal.
Overall, still a great spot and worth the visit.

A exceptional experience here at The Whiskey Bar in Portland. This is in the smaller town of Beaverton, near Portland. A nice, upscale whiskey place with many options to choose from, including local custom options made specifically for the bar and hand-picked barrels of whiskey. All of the food we ordered was perfect. We shared two appetizers: an artichoke dish that was seasoned and oiled to perfection (it didn’t need the aioli that came with it, but it was a great addition). Then we ordered the gnocchi that tasted like Thanksgiving. For the main course, we shared a prime rib sandwich with fries. The fries were perfect and crisp. The atmosphere had an excellent ambiance for a whiskey bar—low-lit and calm. The service was great, and they all knew their menu and had great recommendations to choose from. Overall, the experience was wonderful, and I would recommend it to anyone and would go again when in the Portland/Beaverton area.

The service is impeccable. Such friendly people with good timing and attention to the table. The appetizers are good. We were all very happy with our main dishes. Don’t get me started on drink choices. How does one even make a choice?? I don’t remember what mixed drink i had (i only had 2) but it was delicious.

Awesome bourbon bar! The menu is cute and has clever names. The food was outstanding and the drinks were delicious. Staff is friendly and very attentive. Prices are decent for the great taste of the food. My fourth time here and have not been disappointed yet. Highly recommend!

Tried the sweet potato gnocchi, which was very good… almost dessert like. The staff was friendly and very energetic. My burger was cooked perfectly and was full of flavor. The side beer/wine room has hundreds of different beers and wines that are not found in stores. I would highly recommend trying it out.

Absolutely love this place! Some might ask me why most of my reviews are all positive? It’s because I only go to places I like very much! The fantastic atmosphere with the large wall of booze is very impressive. Their knowledge of cocktails is unsurpassed. A lot easier to get into then going to Multnomah whiskey library. Fresh pastas are there specialty in my mind. I believe I had a dish that had shrimp and chorizo in fresh pasta. What a delight!

what an amazing experience and you walk into this place line up with bottles of every type of scotch, gin, whiskey and every other type of drink you can imagine. while another wall is lined up with the best of wines from all over the world.
the place has a retail store where hi can buy any of those drinks. but remember that if you take the drink inside the restaurant and decide to open it, there’ll be a corkage of 20$ charged.
the food here is amazing and so is the ambience. the starters and the enters paired with some of the best cocktails are a fab testament to the place itself!

Food was underseasoned, steak and mashed potatoes were bland. Huge hunk of cold butter on top of my steak and bell peppers in mixed veggies were all strange choices. My first cocktail was shaken and good, but the old fashioned was made not with a rock but smaller ice pieces, and still warm. If anything, at a place with a 20 page liquor menu I would expect a rock and a chilled drink. Steak was cooked properly, at least. But as I say, I dont expect to have to ask for salt and pepper to make my food platable for a 45 dollar entree.

Amazing atmosphere with catchy mood music that my boyfriend and dad would dance to in their seat The setting is upscale without feeling stuffy or uppity.
The drinks are fantastic! They have an enormous drink menu. I got the “Truffle Shuffle” (a coffee vodka drink) and the “Lenalicious” (citrusy vodka drink). The Truffle Shuffle is a MUST HAVE. It’s way better than an espresso martini. This drink is not too sweet, but a balanced cocktail with cocoa powder on top.
My boyfriend & dad both got Pliny’s, which they enjoyed.
I got the pesto pasta dish with chicken on the side. They give generous helpings of chicken, artichoke hearts, and portobello mushrooms. I’m more of a noodle fan, so I wish there was more actual pasta and less sauce/all the other things.
My boyfriend & dad got burgers with house salads. They said the salads were incredibly fresh and high quality. They did mention that the burgers seemed to lean a little undercooked (they both asked for medium). However, the quality here is real and definitely worth a try. I highly recommend this place!
