Reviews
Service was friendly and handled our group well, and the portions were generous. Overall, a solid spot for team dinners or a night out with good Persian food.
Our server was fantastic ! Food came out quickly and everything was tasty. It is a pricey restaurant. It is all worth it- from service, food quality, taste and portion size.
The food itself left a bit to be desired but was still decent overall. Their Naan was exquisitely pillowy and served as the perfect vehicle for any spreads or fillings, and the Mirza Ghasemi (though not smoky at all) was delightfully savory in taste. The Falafel Wrap was the highlight of the evening, coming as a large wrap served alongside a mountain of battata harra-like fries. The falafel were divine and paired perfectly with the bread and other fillings (including pickled veggies and a yogurt sauce). The Pistachio Milk Cake (though having a beautifully delicate texture) left a lot to be desired, tasting plainly of pistachios with minimal sweetness and a strange aftertaste. Plus, $12 for one slice is just too expensive.
Overall, I would return with a group of people to have small bites shared among the table. The dinner items are priced especially well for going here in groups, and I definitely would recommend coming at least once for the ambiance.
Yalda is pure Persian perfection in the heart of West Midtown! We came hungry and left completely blown away. The cozy, elegant space on Howell Mill Rd sets the tone the second you walk in (warm lighting, beautiful decor, and that irresistible aroma of saffron and grilled meats).
Every dish was a masterpiece:
• Falafel Plate: Crispy on the outside, fluffy and herby inside…..best falafel I’ve had in Atlanta. Paired with creamy tahini and fresh pickles, it’s a must-order.
• Soltani Kabob: Juicy, tender filet mignon + perfectly charred koobideh over fragrant rice.
• Chicken Shish Kabob: Marinated to perfection…..moist, smoky, and packed with flavor. The yogurt marinade is magic.
• Lamb Shank: Fall-off-the-bone tender, slow-cooked in a rich tomato-herb broth.
• Baklava: Flaky, nutty, not too sweet…..drizzled with just the right amount of rosewater syrup.
Service was warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the food. Our server guided us through the menu like a pro and kept the pacing spot-on.
Alex and Callie We’re absolutely amazing, so friendly, attentive, and professional. They made sure everything was perfect and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout our visit.
This is the kind of service that makes you want to come back again and again.
