Butcher & Bee started out serving honest-to-goodness sandwiches made with flavor combinations and food quality usually reserved for fine dining. Now their offerings have grown beyond sandwiches to all types of foods. And they bring them to you from local farmers who produce spectacular flavors. Supporting local and sustainable is not a slogan. It’s the right thing to do, and the food tastes better for it.
Hip outpost offering a rotating menu of inventive, seasonal cuisine made with local ingredients.

We had an amazing meal here last weekend. Our server was Hunter, he was excellent and made a lot of recommendations since we were from out of town. We started with the squash dip and the falafel, both were amazing starters and then we had the OG carrots which is one of their house favorites. We tried the Shrute Farms drink made with beet juice and gin and a non-alcoholic seasonal drink as well, both wonderful. We ended with the bacon wrapped dates and the avocado crispy rice which was full of flavor. The atmosphere and the service are impeccable at Butcher & Bee, I highly recommend a visit!

This was our first trip to Nashville. This place was highly recommend from Resy. I ordered the grilled Cheeseburger with smoked pastrami, american cheese, onion jam, spicy mayo & fries. It was amazing! It was cooked perfectly! Never had pastrami on a burger before, and it was divine. The onion jam was unique and flavorful and all the flavors just came together. The fries were super crispy, and I liked their spicy mayo, dipping sauce. My wife had the crispy avocado rice with an egg on top. She absolutely loved it as well. It was a very, unique texture and I tried it and I would recommend that as well. Can’t go wrong with these two dishes. Very cool place, nice chill vibe and the service was top-notch.I highly recommend making a reservation

I was in Nashville for one day, and this was my choice for dinner while there. My sister had been years ago, and told me that they had excellent meatballs and had to check it out. Well they have changed quite a bit since she had been because the menu had nothing close to meatballs on it. However, what I chose was pretty incredible. I got the hummus dip topped with shawarma chicken and grilled pita. The hummus was perfectly tangy and spicy, the chicken flavorful and cooked perfectly and the homemade pitas were the perfect vehicle for the pair. The service was incredible. As it was just me for the night in town for an engagement at the capital , I sat at the bar. The server at the bar was friendly and welcoming. He recommended some great options, and the passion for his job and this restaurant was apparent. I got to watch the bartend create beautiful cocktails, though I did not order any, I was tempted. All in all, I’m glad I chose The Butcher and Bee even though there wasn’t a meatball in site, what I received and experienced was even better.

Okay, this spot is it. Butcher & Bee in Nashville absolutely nailed that moody, vibey restaurant feel — the kind where the lighting is just right, the music hits, and you instantly know you’re in for a good time. It’s definitely a hot spot (there’s always a wait), but trust me, it’s worth every minute.
The food? Wow. I’m still thinking about those charred lion’s mane mushrooms — total flavor bomb. The squash dip with pumpkin and pomegranate seeds was next-level, especially with their unreal bread. Everything comes out course by course in small, shareable plates, which I love — perfect for tasting everything without feeling like you overdid it.
The Mediterranean-Indian fusion here just works. Every bite had layers of spice, texture, and flavor that kept me reaching for more. My falafels were crispy perfection, and I have to shout out their mocktail game — so good! I really appreciate when a restaurant puts effort into their non-alcoholic options, and this one did not disappoint.
Your bill comes tucked into a Nancy Drew book !
Loved that unexpected touch .
Between the friendly staff, the beautiful decor, and the overall vibe, Butcher & Bee is officially on my must-visit-again list. If you’re into moody aesthetics, shareable plates, and plant-based dishes that slap, this place is your jam.

Its a cute place, everything tasted too sour/citrusy but we still enjoyed our meal. Warm squash dip and hummus were ok, and the lamb bourekas were good as well. They had their 10 year anniversary going on so we were able to try one of their legacy dishes – the grilled octopus which was the highlight! Soooo good, the octopus is melt in the mouth and not chewy at all. Banana crunch cake was awesome, with the espresso mousse balancing flavors really well. PS- it’s 2025 and I am upset with any semi-bougie place not experimenting with gluten free and vegan versions of food, please include us with food sensitivities in your menu planning 🙂

We live in Chicago and have a second home on 30A. When we drive, we stop in Nashville for two reasons: 1.) it’s the middle appoint; and 2.) Butcher & Bee!
We love Butcher & Bee so much that we stay at hotel across the street!
Years of unwavering quality, distinctive flavors you won’t find anywhere else, and service that makes you feel at home — that’s rare. This isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a benchmark for what dining should be. Every plate is a carefully curated experience!
Chef Chris + his team is the gold standard!

My husband and I had the most delicious dinner here last night. We both had the Chef’s Choice menu and got to try at least 7 dishes and had a lovely chocolate cake for desert. Every dish was amazing, but the whipped feta,, bacon wrapped dates, octopus, and braised short rib were some of our favorites! They are currently celebrating their 10-year anniversary so they brought back some favorite dishes and cocktails over the years. I thought that was such a unique touch! I wish I could remember the name of our server, because she was fantastic and so sweet!

I’ve been to Butcher and the Bee multiple times over the years, so I feel I have sufficient experience to make a review. The service is always top notch, but Eddie the bartender is top tier made this last visit so fun and worthwhile. I ordered a rum drink and it was delicious, almost perfect. My friend enjoyed her cocktail as well. They recently renovated but it’s so dark in there , I honestly can’t say I noticed any changes because the space has always been very nicely decorated in my opinion. I’m looking forward to eating on the patio in the Spring. On to the food.
The cabbage was 10/10, that miso sauce needs to go on everything edible.
My only complaint is that they changed up their menu and took off the 2 things I enjoyed the most, the scallops and the warm Turkish hummus. Seeing as it’s winter, it didn’t make sense that they removed the warm hummus. Please bring that back, the regular hummus didn’t do it for me, but the bread was still light and fluffy.

Stayed at the waymore To see Josh Rouse at The five spot and stumbled across the way to this gem of a restaurant in East Nashville. It was vibing and very busy the night we went. They ended up fitting us in… My person and I are terrible about just showing up to places where you need a reservation lol
The food we ordered might not be what most people would get. We got tapas type foods…
The sausage with whipped feta. They brought us pita which is wheat after we made it known that that wasn’t us because of wheat allergies. Finally we got some chips instead (which made it tasty). We also got the swarma chicken with crispy avocado rice. It had nuts on it that were delicious. Our server was a little all over the place and busy but that’s to be expected on a Thursday night when it’s packed. It’s a good sign when it’s busy somewhere and that means the food is great. I liked that you can see the kitchen from where you’re sitting. Everyone seems to be involved with the experience. Definitely a cool kids hipster spot and worth your patronage. Maybe bring a few chums or some gals for dinner type place. We’ll go back if we stay at the waymore. We want to try to eat other dishes because the night we went was a collab with some burger place. Much of the menu was not available. I recommend hitting this place up if you’re on that around side of town.

The whipped feta was outstanding! The pitas were delicious with it, as well as the veggies requested for gluten-friendly option. The hummus bowl with chicken shawarma was so full of flavor, I ate every bite and craved more. The avocado crispy rice was good, but not a favorite compared to the bowl. Overall would def recommend!
