My best friend took to me to this joint and I was INCREDIBLY pleased with their quality of food and service. We ordered the double cheeseburgers with normal fries and sweet potato fries, onion rings, an extra Cagney sauce on the side. The food had no chance to last longer than 5 minutes — we absolutely KILLED IT! Classic burgers that were tasty, possibly one of the best sweet potatoes fries I’ve ever had, and the onion rings were delish.
I would definitely recommend to others and come back over and over again whenever I’m down South!

Yoooo. Ok so as a visiting lad from California home of In & Out, I had to try Washington’s Out & About Burgers here in Puyallup. Yoooo, fire I only give it 4 out of 5 stars because they don’t have chopped chillies or have extra toasted buns as an option. I ordered the triple cheese burger and it was amazing. The carmalized onions in the burger were awesome. Onion rings with their house sauce is also amazing. On my personal scale it lands at a 8.8/10 but definitely a 10/10 recommend! Is it better than In & Out? You be the judge lol

Great place for a burger and fries. I wouldn’t say its worth going if there is a long line or if its out of the way. But it definitely hit the spot after a plane ride from San Diego. Way better than any of the fast food joints in the area. Next time I would get the triple burger as the patties are a little thin. It sounds like it would be too much, but I feel like it would make the ratio a little better ( and I enjoy smash burgers). Or maybe thinner lettuce and tomatoes would make it perfect. Either way, I’d eat there again and again.

Very straightforward experience. I got behind a line of cars and a guy outside took my order and I paid via credit card by placing on his phone. As soon as I reached the window I got handed my order of triple cheese burger with fries, chocolate shake, and some condiments.
I particularly liked how neat the food was placed on a small cardboard tray and wrapped in a bag. Made it mess free when I drove back home.
Food was good and better than other fast food establishments for a decent price also.

The burgers are good. Fries are plentiful but could use like a house seasoning or something, put some Tony’s on them. House sauce is good. Fair price for a good burger but nothing out of the ordinary. Would go back for a burger. Drive thru only.

I’m a Cali transplant. This burger joint is equivalent to In-N-Out burgers !! Since our relocation here in 2015, we’ve been missing In-N-Out burgers. At the recommendation of my sister-in-law, we tried it that year and we fell in love with the deliciousness. The burgers, sweet potato fries , Cagney’s way style fries, shakes etc were so yummy . The ingredients are fresh and you can definitely taste the difference. We’ve been returning customers since our first try.
This establishment is family owned and operated. We definitely like to support local businesses and make every effort to stop by and eat here monthly.
I have a variety of old and current pix the hours of operation may not reflect the current hours.
Lastly, always expect long lines but definitely worth the wait.

First time going here, they don’t have signs when you pull in directing you where to go so we immediately pulled in and got behind a car in line. A car that was waiting in the “line overflow” immediately drove up and almost hit us. I guess he thought we were cutting him off in line. Karen activity lol. Would help if they had signs. The food doesn’t taste like in and out (they said this was a dupe) it’s flavorless and mid.

Really impressed with the quality of the food they offer at such an affordable price. The burgers were juicy and fresh, even though the patties felt a bit thin and less seasoned than the direct competitors. I understand that it’s being compared to In-n-Out and this local chain is totally up there on the list of great burgers, and they even have better fries than In-n-Out which isn’t saying a lot. I did find that the onion rings batter didn’t cook through all the way which left me a bit disappointed, but all in all great spot to check out if you’re craving a delicious meal.

My family eats here often, because the food is always amazing. They have forgotten our food multiple times, but my husband and I decide to just feed the boys what we have, and make something for us to eat at home to avoid driving back to the restaurant.
… this one time I was really craving the grilled cheese with bacon. So after driving all the way home to feed my 5 hungry children and husband. I decided I’d drive back get my 2 missing items: 1 cheeseburger w/no onions, and a grilled cheese w/ bacon.
I addressed my concern to the SAME cashier who took my order less than 45 min prior to my return, and mentioned that they forgot two of my items. She told me I needed to bring back my container holding all the food I bought (and it’s the only thing she can do) I explained my children had already started eating it and headed back (10 min drive 1-way), so I did not bring the container back. She then told me I had to call a number to get my food/credit for the future date or to make a complaint. Long story short, yes it’s may be $5 to reorder the two items.
But it’s the principal… the fact that I was profiled to want to steel two items, that THEY forgot to put in my order is EXTREMELY frustrating. I asked to speak to a manager multiple times, the manager finally came to the window and asked what my order was… she confirmed cheeseburger w/no onions and grilled cheese w/bacon.
They gave me a cold grilled cheese w/bacon and a cheeseburger w/EXTRA ONIONS. Honestly probably tampered with my food so I didn’t eat it.
This is unacceptable. We spend nearly $70 every time we go to this place.
Hope they can train their cashier to escalate to a higher up, and have better customer service. End rant.

Tonight was our first time at O&AB…. POSITIVELY PHENOMENAL! Our experience qoute, “That was a cheeseburger”. I ordered the double lettuce burger and my husband the triple. Both of our burgers were absolutely delicious and savory. We also ordered a orange creamsicle milkshake and it was heavenly! We are so grateful for the affordable prices in comparison with current costs of eating out that are often expensive.
We would like to give a shout out to Curtis who took our order. He provided great customer service and informed us of specialty menu options such as the holiday shakes.
We are so looking forward to our next burger run and will be spreading the word about this fantastic burger place.
