Absolutely a must go to if you are in the area or looking for a place to dine with higher end food with quaint intimate atmosphere. Drink menu is off the chart with unique yummy flavors yet super affordable! Food…. well let’s just say I never finish my food and I couldn’t stop eating because I didn’t care if I went home uncomfortable, the flavor was great! Service was perfect… On top of bring food, drinks, clearing tables I’d call it the old school service you expect everywhere still but never receive!!!!

Incredibly warm, intimate setting. You walk in and servers are calling regulars by their first names. People are smiling and laughing. It feels like a loving family dinner. A lot of places with this welcoming atmosphere have mediocre food. Not this place. The pretzel was beyond delicious, soft, warm with melted cheese that had just a little spice. Overall an excellent experience.

Having been here several times in the last few years, I felt it was time to write a review.
I feel that most everything was worth 4 star rating, I only had one disappointment.
The positives: the food is consistent, never had a bad item off the menu, or cooked poorly, the salads are amazing (the candied walnuts are so good!) and the shredded onion rings are great. However, if you’ve had their Mac and cheese over the years, I think the cheese sauce is different. Tastes more like velveeta. Not a fan anymore, & for the price, I’d rather have a meal with protein.
The negative:
The drinks are a bit expensive & this last time, I had a casamigos tequila & seltzer, and I honestly don’t think there was a lot of tequila in it, my daughters had a mule for $11 & an autumn drink for $12.00. They have a great variety of drinks, but if I’m paying $10+ for a drink, I kinda want to taste the booze in it!?
They have these lamp shades hanging from the ceiling & I couldn’t help but notice the dust on the shades & the clear line that they hang from. Might be time to change them out
This last time there, we had a steak sandwich, meatloaf dinner & a cup of crab bisque. Everything was good.z The crab bisque was delicious, it was very rich!
I had a Caesar salad w/ grilled chicken, & I added tomatoes. They charged me $.50 to add a few grape tomatoes.

Great ambience to meet with friends and have lunch. Fish tacos outstanding. Good beer selection on tap. Sound absorption on ceiling to keep noise level down.
Will definitely be back for dinner and try a cocktail. Bartender superb!

Clam chowder does not have much clamp flavor. Golden Harvest Utica MN has best clamp chowder. So flavorful.

One of the best fried chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had!
Anytime we’re even remotely in the area, we make a point to stop in for a bite and a brew. The place is spotless, has a classic Wisconsin atmosphere, and the staff is always wonderful. We’ve worked our way through the menu and are consistently impressed—every meal is just as good as the last.

I have been there twice. The last time was on February 5, 2026 for dinner.
I really do not care for the place. It is a real plain jane restaurant, really no atmosphere, some pictures on the walls, no real decorations.
As to the food, it is ok, but certainly nothing great. I had the pig roast dinner for $22. They really need to give more choices for a vegetable, as all they offered was corn on the cob, which I do not care to eat in a restaurant. Also, the salad, was greens and caramelized pecans. It was ok, but I would have preferred just an iceberg lettuce salad.
The locals seem to like the place, but it wasn’t to my liking. Thank you.

Our waitress never asked how our meal was and when I did voice my concerns it wasn’t even acknowledged. I had to flake my fish on the fish tacos to make sure it wasn’t prime rib strips. Also did not receive corn tortillas as i had requested. No offer of correction. I contacted management via email and have yet to hear anything back after 2 weeks. The food issue isn’t as bad as no one actually cared that the food and service were not satisfactory. Used to be one of my favorite places. It’ll be awhile now if ever…sad.

Nice patio. Good service. Food is great. Got the steak sandwich. Onion strings on top I pulled onto the side. Son got the pick 3 mac and cheese and got brisket, bacon, and pulled pork. Sure a heart attack on a plate but delicious. Prices were a bit higher than expected though worth it.
