Really friendly staff and wonderful seafood!! The prawns and squid were so fresh, great texture and strong flavour. Even the salad was delicious!! The people next to us ordered the tommerhawk steak. The presentation and carving was fun, the steak looked perfect. We had burgers, great looking, patties, flavour yum but texture and beef ratio maybe average. My flathead battered with chips yummy!! Enjoy!!

Manly Grill has become a special favourite for me and my partner, we absolutely love it here. The steak is nothing short of incredible every single time. Perfectly cooked, bursting with flavour, and genuinely the best . It’s the kind of dish that makes you look forward to your next visit.

Food was extraordinary! My favorite is the pork ribs with blue cheese sauce, it was so juicy and the sauce was on the spot. As well as the creme brûlée best dessert after that meaty meal. The waitress was also very friendly, helpful and catered to our every need. I’d recommend eating here.

Solid grub with a great view of Manly Beach if you opt for the outside tables. Outside seating is also under cover in case the weather is unfavourable.
It’s a steak house after all so get the steak and/or ribs – both pork and beef options were good. Veal tongue skewer wasn’t bad either.

For a steakhouse, I expected the steak to be the highlight, but unfortunately, it was the only thing that disappointed. Thank goodness for the sauces they were the only thing giving that chewy piece of beef any flavor.

It was fairly packed even slightly past regular lunch service so service was slower. That’s ok but it took them a very long while and only on prompt to serve our wine. Helped myself to the menu too. Food was very ordinary. Only the prawn cocktail was nice. Fresh sweet and crunchy. Barramundi was ok – skin was soft not crispy. Chicken wings overly sweet. Cloyingly so.

The service could be more welcoming though. The staff didn’t seem very friendly or attentive, and there wasn’t much of a thank-you or warm interaction, which was a bit disappointing.
Still, I’d recommend this restaurant, especially if you’re spending time around the Mainly Beach area. It’s a nice spot to stop by for a casual meal after the beach. January 2026 – A wonderful evening at a really busy Manly Grill that has an amazing location right on Manly’s ocean beach! Food was fabulous – very generous portion sizes for all dishes (burgers, steaks, fish). And the service from Lilie was brilliant – professional, attentive and warm. Highly recommended for a great night out. Drinks were well priced.

Service was attentive and friendly from all the staff. And, when we arrived at 12pm for Sunday lunch most tables were empty, but within 30minutes it was full. Definitely worth booking to avoid disappointment.
We went to Manly Grill to celebrate my aunt’s 86th birthday (and she usually doesn’t like new restaurants) but loved it from start to finish. She had the barramundi which she thoroughly enjoyed. My sister had the squid and a garden salad. I had the classic burger with cheese and fries. My burger was great – tasty, succulent, pickle on top (which I cut up and put inside) and the fries cooked perfectly and tasty.
For dessert we ordered the creme brulee to share BUT the team at Manly Grill went next level and came out singing happy birthday with the most amazing chocolate raspberry lava cake (complete with sparkler). Truly over and above and loved by us all ! And the creme brulee came too and was delicious.
Highly recommended for food, ambience and customer service beyond expectations. Loved it and will be back.

We booked for a late lunch on Wednesday, and it was pumping when we first arrived in the Manly Beach area. When we got there at 2.30 it had quieten down a bit.
The Mrs ordered the Sea Food Platter and I got the Ribs and Ribs.
Her Platter was big, couldn’t finish it all. She said the oysters were really good and fresh. The cold cooked Prawns were ok. The Flathead strips and fried squid were really good. She wasn’t a fan of the hot, cooked Prawns.
My Ribs were a good size, half a rack of pork and beef short ribs. Both had a good smack of sauce, which im not normally a fan of…but wasn’t too bad actually. Beef was well rendered and fell apart and was tasty. The pork was similar. The beef flavour stood out as it normally does with beef short rib, but the pork was masked by the sauce a little, still enjoyed. Side salad was a great addition.
Only suggestion is a water finger bowl when having Ribs with sauce over the top.
Steaks on other tables looked great and cooked perfectly.
