This place is LEGIT. Firstly, while most restaurants claim to treat you like family, Original Shawarma House does it. I have never been to a place where guests waiting for takeout are invited to enjoy not just water, but fresh coffee and tea of the highest quality. Phenomenal shawarma Arabi with the freshest meats off the spit. And I don’t know what they do to their fries the seasoning they use makes them a tier above the rest. I look forward to returning here.

I go to this place regularly but only today I decided to leave a review.
The place today was super busy on the weekend yet their quality is always consistent. A lot of places don’t produce the same quality on busy days.
Their food has always been amazing. I have eaten shawarma in every place I have visited in the US and intentionally. Their shawarma is top quality. The meat shawarma is exceptionally delicious. Their Hummus, fries, rotisserie chicken are amazing.
The staff is friendly, respectful and professional. One of the best restaurants I have ever visited.

This place was recommended to me by a friend. I had never been here before, and I was unsure of what to get. The man behind the counter was very nice and helpful. Food was absolutely delicious, I got the classic chicken shawarma sandwich and it was amazing! For the price, it was a pretty good amount of food. The fries were delicious as well. Can’t wait to come back!

Me and my friend ate here yesterday and it was so good! He’s middle eastern and said this is the best shawarma he’s had from anywhere around here yet. The place was busy so you know others agree! Everyone was friendly. Free water and hot tea! Definitely give this place a shot. The chicken was my favorite with the rice and sauces which were all amazing especially the tahini sauce, the tebbouleh salad was fresh and clean tasting, and the hummus was really good hummus! Loved all that we got though, you can’t go wrong!

I usually ordered takeout here so I can’t speak to their service. Previous orders were good. Yesterday, I ordered the mixed shawarma plate and beef shawarma arabi. Both of the chicken and beef were super dry to the point that hard to swallow…. Pistachio baklava was decent. Pretty disappointed!

There are a few Shawarma places which I will drive 4 hours to reach, but this is one of them.
Easy to find, in a good neighborhood flanked with residential and other worldly shopping opportunities, makes it a happy little corner of STL. We were greeted by cheerful fellas chopping fresh veggies next to chubby toddler sized cones of fresh meat happily spinning on a grill. The guy manning the counter grabbed samples of every single bread and sauce for us to make an educated decision as first-timers.
We had the Arabic Shawarma in both chicken and beef. Both were phenomenal. They gave us additional sides and even more of their delicious sauces for dipping and enjoying.
Super friendly staff and incredible food. Not much more needs to be said about this great place.

The chicken was perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender, and the accompanying sides – hummus, salad, and rice – were all fresh and flavorful. The portion size was generous, and the staff was friendly and attentive. If you’re craving authentic shawarma, this is the place to go. By the way don’t forgot to taste their pomegranate sauce.
