Great diner in Elmsford NY.
I have lived in Westchester almost all my life and had never been to the El Dorado. Wes decided to stop in tonight for an early dinner and was very pleased.
First it’s very centrally located being on Rt. 119 right off the Saw Mill Parkway and the NYS thruway and 287.
Second there is a ton of free parking.
Third the building is modern and clean and has a ton of beautiful wood paneling..
The service was fast and friendly and the booth we sat in was comfortable.
I ordered a half roast chicken with stuffing. The meal came with a soup or a salad and I opted for matzo ball soup which came in a bowl and was delicious. My wife has cream of turkey which again was great. The roast chicken was a great size and it was moist and tasty. My wife had chicken picatta over white rice which was fantastic. They gave you a basket of warm bread with crackers and bread sticks as well.
The meal was filling and delicious and came at a fantastic price.
This is a great diner that serves us great food in an old school diner environment !

Back in February through March 2025, I stayed at the studio hotel across the road and ate in or ordered out from this diner several times a week. Every single dish I ordered was delicious, fresh, made to order and gave very generous portions. This might be my favorite diner in Westchester. On Main St, Elmsford, it’s definitely worth pulling off the nearby exit for.

Food was good quality and served very quick. Service was good also. They have a lot of choice on the menu. It looks to be a popular place with locals.

Really great classic diner that is still open 24/7…easy off/on 287. The staff works really hard and the portion sizes are big.

Service was good. We had 2 dinners, Chicken Parmasean with Spaghetti was a decent portion, the Spaghetti was overcooked, very soft and limp. The sauce was ok, but a bit too sweet. The chicken cutlets tasted like dirty oil from the deep fryer and had way too much cheese melted on top. The pastrami sandwich was made with Turkey pastrami, yuck! The serving of pastrami was also very small, open faced with sauerkraut and Russian dressing on Rye bread. It came with fries which were acceptable. When paying the bill, there was a problem with the credit card machine at the front counter. The employee / cashier, an older guy, began insisting I pay cash. I’ve used my credit cards all over the world and never had a problem making a payment anywhere except here at the Eldorado Diner. The waiter told me he has spoken with the manager about other customers having issues attempting to make credit card payments. I was finally able to complete the transaction, but the food and the terrible checkout experience left a terrible taste in my mouth. I would never give this place a second chance!

Very friendly and attentive staff! The food was incredible. Honestly, I wish we weren’t just visiting the area, because I want to eat that shrimp scampi weekly. We will be back, and I will recommend this perfect Diner to everyone!

The diner is located in Elmsford, New York. They prepare primarily an American style cuisine. Breakfast options, soups , salads , appetizers, sandwiches, entrees, pasta, wraps, paninis, Spanish quesadillas, sides, beverages ☕️ and desserts are available. Large free parking lot for customers. I ordered broiled filet of sole which was very good and better than most other eateries. My family enjoyed their hamburger and cheese omelet. Friendly and helpful staff.

Nice little diner right outside of White Plains NY. Service was extremely fast. A bit warm inside but ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and fries. The food came out hot and fresh. Certainly a place for some comfort food. Also not too far from a few hotels

The food is good and the portions are generous. Unfortunately, the nighttime service was rude and unprofessional. The waiter rushed me to order and was unpleasant, which made the experience uncomfortable. The woman at the front was also unwelcoming. It’s disappointing because the quality of the food deserves much better customer service

Rushed service and misleading information on the Menu. I was asked 3 times within 5 minutes if I was ready to order (I was not due to some confusion about the menu). I ended up ordering from their Breakfast Menu a Texas Avocado Toast (French Toast with Avocado, Mixed Greens, Chopped Tomato, Olive Oil & Sunny Side Egg) and I was given dry Texas toast with eggs over it and a salad with balsamic dressing of the side. This item was in the Breakfast section of the Menu (next to the pancakes). When I went up to discuss the restaurant’s vision for the sandwich, they shut me down. I did not ask for a discount or to have the item removed from my bill, I was just looking for clarification of what this item was actually supposed to look/ taste like. I gave the wait staff person a 20% tip regardless.
Very discouraging treatment and quality of the food. Do not recommend.
