We are a family owned and operated casual burger restaurant with 30 years in business. We serve up big juicy burgers made from fresh never frozen certified Angus beef with a huge variety of toppings in a fun islandy atmosphere. We also have a wide array of other option such as chicken, tenderloins, shrimp, fish, clams, calamari, salads, nachos, wings and appetizers. Our tropical cocktail list is extensive and fun, offering something for everyone with over 40 cocktails including non alcoholic options as well. Share a fishbowl with your friends or enjoy a pina colada, hurricane or bahama mama. The kids love the blue lagoon, shark attack & virgin daiquiris. There is an arcade to entertain & a separate area to enjoy the Bar, gaming or patio.

This is a hidden gem in East Peoria. This place has a tropical atmosphere and games to play while your waiting for food. The burgers are good and they have a seasonal menu. We will return here next time we’re in Peoria.

I just moved to the area and didn’t know what this building was by driving by.It really needs a face lift, painting,plants,bushes,anything to catch the drivers going by .I believe it would help boost customers and look nice for the neighborhood.

My friend suggested Burger Barge. He used to go there like 30 years ago while in college. He’s told me about it several times but I rarely get down that way. I happened to be in the area Friday with another friend and got a call asking where I was so I told him and he reminded me of the Barge. To shut him up I went there and I’m so glad I did. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was really cool!!! I’d absolutely go back!

Again updating my review again. Stopped in again. Keeps getting better as time passes, drinks are better for sure and the burger is always good for sure. Well, I’m upgrading my review today. We ate in the game room since the tikibar was pretty warm. Our waiter was awesome. He was attentive and took care of us very well. Food was way better today and was like the old Barge.

Pretty decent place to eat. Looking at the place it looks like a place you would want to skip. Don’t let looks deceive you. Pretty decent burgers, pricing wasn’t too bad either. Very big burgers. The river chips are awesome. Staff seemed pretty friendly when we where there and it was pretty busy being a Saturday noontime lunch rush. I would recommend checking them out.

So, this place has been on my foodie bucketlist for awhile now. Everytime we are close to this area, someone has always picked somewhere else to eat. So, we were in the vacinity today, and we thought well great, we’ll meet up with some of our friends, and try it out. We were seated fairly fast, around 12:30, our waitress had our drinks out quickly, our food was super fast and both our waitress and server were extremely nice and friendly. The place was completely filled by 1pm. Not to hot inside. The temp was comfortable. The decor was very shipwrecked and shabby. The menu has shrunk in items, from what the menu looked like previously uploaded in pictures.
On to our food, this is where we took some stars away. 3 Burgers with crinkle fries. 1 Fish Platter. My husbands burger had no flavor, very bland and dry. He has never NOT finished his burger anywhere that we have ever been to, until today. My fish, I thought was ok. Everything was edible, the chips and coleslaw were good. It took us 45 min from start to finish, Seated to goodbyes! We were gone for about 1 hr, and I started getting sick in the vehicle. I was the only one with the fish platter out of our party of 4. Maybe it was a sign from the *Food Gods* don’t get a fish platter at a place called the *Burger Barge* I was really excited to try this place out. Everyone hyped this place up. I doubt we’ll be back.
We just felt really rushed eating. The Women’s restroom had no working lock, the door had to be jammed shut and kicked to open. It’s not a complete bad or good review. Just in the middle. Everyone has an off day.

We loved this restaurant!
We went here wet and cold with hungry kids. It was perfect, the decor was fun and interesting to look at. Service was great, burgers were huge and came out fast. The kiddos loved everything, they ate their fried fish, and part of my burgers and a ton of fries.
It’s very kid friendly with booths or tables to choose from and coloring books.
The bathroom was clean, so was the whole restaurant.
We loved it, prices were great. Highly recommend going here with the family.

Wow! Stopped here while in town for an event, and the burgers were so good. 2 kids love playing in arcade area. Unique place with excellent food.

Not bad! The food and drinks arrived in a timely manner and the staff was kind. The burger was very filling (which is good). We got onion rings as our appetizer and they were great with the sauces they came with.
This restaurant had a Hawaii vibe to it, a good selection of games, and I even got to listen to my favorite song on the jukebox!
I only gave it 4 stars because our server didn’t come back to check on us, and I had to look for napkins- which I found in the beer box they use for the condiments. Ours was covered in grease and grime and that was a little off putting. So I’d say the idea is cool, but it’s definitely not sanitary.

The Tavern Burger and $2 blueberry margaritas were amazing. The $3 Bloody Mary bar looked delicious. Will definitely try that next time.
