We had a nice visit to Redrock Canyon Grill – Oklahoma City recently. The location is absolutely stunning — the views from the restaurant are spectacular, and it’s a perfect spot if you want to enjoy a meal with a gorgeous backdrop. The service was also outstanding; our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal.
As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The calamari arrived tough and rubbery, so they kindly took it back and removed it from the bill, which I really appreciated. The ribs and chicken, however, were cooked well and very flavorful. Unfortunately, the shrimp in the pasta was overcooked, which made it slightly disappointing.
Despite the few missteps in the kitchen, the combination of excellent service, a great atmosphere, and some tasty dishes makes this a solid spot — I’m giving it four stars and would still recommend it, especially for the views.

My family and I visited Red Rock for my grandmother’s 79th birthday a couple of weeks ago. We called ahead and notified them of the number of guests. The gentleman we spoke to advised us that it would be no problem. We had a party of 14. We ended up having to wait for over an hour to be seated. There was a larger table at the back on the left side of the restaurant that could have accommodated us, but we weren’t seated there even though the previous occupants had left a little before we were seated.
Thankfully, when we were finally seated, the servers were great and very attentive. I ordered the calamari and shrimp pasta, which were very delicious. However, I was still very disappointed that my grandmother had to wait for over an hour to be seated on her 79th birthday.

We had some delicious food here for my birthday. I had the roasted chicken…so good. The house salad is also very good. The cornbread croutons add some yummy crunch. The rest of the family had the pork ribs and they all cleaned their plates.

This has been one of my go-to spots for over ten years. I don’t even live in Oklahoma anymore and I try to make this restaurant a stop when I’m in Oklahoma City visiting friends and family.
The experience at Red Rock has never let me down. The service is always top notch and the food is fantastic. We sat at the bar this time and the bartenders were so fun to talk to. Normally I don’t do dessert but we couldn’t help trying the scratch made carrot cake… it was so good!
Overall, this is a wonderful place to share a meal with family and friends with a beautiful view, and great service. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Just before Christmas, we flew into Oklahoma for a short visit with family, and as usual my brother-in-law and his wife led us to another one of their high-class, speakeasy-style spots with a hidden-gem restaurant feel. This was our first time at Redrock Canyon Grill on Lake Hefner, and my first time near any lake in Oklahoma.

The ambiance completely won me over: cozy, vibrant, and framed by a stunning lake view with the sunset glowing right outside our window. We got to enjoy the water, wildlife, and sky from the comfort of the dining room, safely tucked away from the 20-degree wind chill outside.

I was pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful tea service, with a generous variety of tea bags presented along with the honey and lemon I requested. As someone who really enjoys playing with tea flavors at home, this felt like such a simple but **elevated** touch.
The five of us started with the deviled egg appetizer, and it genuinely topped any deviled eggs I’ve ever ordered in a restaurant—or made in my own kitchen. For my entrée, I went with pork chops, mashed potatoes, and a side of sautéed mushrooms, and every bite was fantastic, hearty, and perfectly cooked.

I have been coming here for years, and it continues to impress every time. The service was fantastic and very attention. They asked about food allergies as well. The drinks were unique and different but very well balanced. The deviled eggs were solid, but the relish it was served on really made it stand out with flavor. The halibut special my wife got was cooked perfectly and the breading was very good. The pork chop was the star of the show. I am don’t know why I have never ordered it before because it was quite possibly the best pork chop I’ve ever had. It was so juicy and tender. The portion was great as well. We didn’t have room for dessert this time. It’s a great place to enjoy a sunset on the lake, but most importantly, a place to make your belly very happy!!!
