I had a cranberry mocktail and the chicken pesto pasta with angel hair, both were very good. The sauce was flavorful. I shared the tiramisu with my friend, they even cut it in half and served it on different plates for us which I thought was a nice touch. The only thing I did not like was the artichoke potato soup, it was pureed but the artichoke heart strings I had to keep spitting out. Our waitress, Megan was great and the atmosphere was nice and quiet. The staff was very attentive in the bathrooms were clean.

Chicken Parm had some great mozzarella cheese and a nice tangy marinara sauce. Sausage and pepper appetizer was also tasty. Very good portions for the price. Huge Caesar salad with salmon was also very good.

For starters the atmosphere inside is very nice, classy. Now the food….. AMAZING. I’ve been here a few times and the food never disappoints. Last night we started with the Arancini’s drenched in vodka sauce. Nothing short of incredible. 6 on a plate. I could have bought 2 and made it my dinner. The Baked chicken portabello in alfredo sauce was amazing and huge. We split it between the two of us so the pic Im including is one dinner on two plates which came with a lobster bisque soup that was D-licious. I will be going back very soon for all of that same meal.
BTW, the Arancini’s were so damn good I couldn’t wait to eat them before taking the pic but know that the homemade bread they serve up warm and is so good we soaked up the rest of that vodka sauce with it.
If the management is reading this, It would be great if you put some Christmas lights up outside. Not only would you stand out better but I’d do the trees in white lights and leave them up all year. It will add to the romance that is inside

This place is a hidden gem! Not sure how I was not made aware of this place, after 15 years of living in Illinois.
The food , service and atmosphere are just awesome. Brian is such a cool bartender. Lisa, our waitress is the sweetest.

Have been a longtime lover of Clara’s. Dating back to the early 90s when they had a small dining room in a strip mall. They have catered many family events over the years . I recently moved and Clara’s is almost exactly halfway between my old and new neighborhood. I have been fortunate enough to have had a couple of belated birthday celebrations there in the past couple of weeks with girlfriends. As always the food is exceptional! The portions are still large and everything is fabulously homemade and fresh. I love the old standbys and the new creations on the menu as well. An exceptional server, Jennifer, took care of us the last couple of visits. She is a true professional and anticipates your needs and provides excellent service even when the place is packed and she seems to be spread thin. So glad Clara’s has held the test of time.

Our party of 9 was at Clara’s this past Saturday for a family birthday dinner. After reading reviews and hearing that their pasta is homemade, I was looking forward to dining here… But it was unfortunately a disappointment. It was quite crowded, so it’s possible that the busy-ness affected the experience we had… That said:
– We had a reservation at 6pm and it still took almost 30 minutes for us to be seated ⌛
– Service was extremely slow … We had 4 kids in our party and they made us acutely aware of how slow the service was. It took almost 3 hours from arrival @ 6pm to departure and most of that time was us waiting. Kind of crazy.
– Food was subpar. Very saucy and very salty. My pasta (I ordered the Rudy Jr. Shrimp Special) was also quite overcooked… There was absolutely no al dente bite. I took it home and added my own pasta to it and it was much better. My kids did not like their fettuccine alfredo for the same reasons – pasta swimming in sauce and very salty… They essentially ate bread and ice cream for dinner which I guess they weren’t complaining about too much
I wanted to like Clara’s but our experience just wasn’t very good.

I have been frequenting Clara’s for the greater part of my adult life, and whenever I come back to my hometown it is a mandatory stop.
The food is exquisitely made and makes you feel both pampered and perfectly at home without skipping a beat; each flavor is deep and complete, leaving nothing to be desired.
Every server is knowledgeable, courteous, and goes the mile to make sure that your visit is exactly what you need it to be.
If you have the time to come, there is no better place in the state of Illinois.

First time visit and our family will make a return soon! Atmosphere was friendly and classy with service on point for a Friday night. Place was packed and staff handled it with ease. Food was fantastic across the board for everyone. I enjoyed the Eggplant Parm and brick oven wood-fire pizza!
Feels like a one of a kind classy neighborhood spot that you want to be a part of! Thanks Clara’s!

Stopped in February 5. Ordered brushetta, lasagna and a glass of the house red wine. All were excellent. My waitress was very nice and accommodating. She even presented me with a complimentary tiramisu since it was my first time there and it was delicious!
