Great donuts, custom sodas, coffees, and teas. Everything is delicious and everything is vegan. It’s best to get there early, as they sell out of baked goods by 9:30 on busy days.
The environment is welcoming and friendly with a mix of locals and vacationers. The owners are great and happy to provide suggestions for visitors.

Worth stopping in for some donuts and coffee. Both are great. We spilt all four today and we (3 of us) agreed, this is a can’t miss place. Donuts are light and fluffy. The yeasty donut was my favorite. The cinnamon roll was amazing. Coffee was perfectly brewed. Well done!

Seriously love enjoying many espressos and lattes when on Hatteras from Roots and leaves. Donuts are amazing as well as their cookies!!! ☕️…..however, the owners are the best! Go see them at their new location across from Connor’s Grocery Store you will not be disappointed! ❤️

I brought my kids to the playground by the Pier and saw the Roots & Leaves truck by chance. I bought one of each donut flavor and an iced latte with a splash of caramel flavor. DELICIOUS !!! All of it. We LOVED the donuts- very light and fluffy (and vegan). What a friendly dude too! We will be back tomorrow morning!
