Nam Is the First. Not a Copy. At Nam, our food is made with love and new ideas. We take traditional dishes, and make them our own: 1, Big, crispy thin crepes 2, Super crispy dry wings 3, Mango salad mountains with many ingredients 4, Fish head curry that is bold and full of flavour 5, Smoked rib pho that takes hours to make 6, And our bone marrow pho , we were the first in Ontario to serve it. (Check Google reviews. It’s all there.) in Ontario to introduce Bone Marrow Pho (documented in reviews with pictures over 3 years ago) Yes, others are starting to copy us. Some even approach our staff to try and steal what makes Nam special. But what we do at Nam can’t be bought. It comes from real passion, real testing, and a vision

Standard strip-mall eatery with outdoor seating dishing up pho, bahn mi & other Vietnamese staples.

Food great. Service great. Ambiance great. Overall awesome!

Visiting from California and got to say this place hit the spot. I enjoy when presentation + quality, especially with colorful Vietnamese food. Got the dac biet to get all the assorted stuff while my family got varieties of other VN dishes. We will be coming back here soon!

Visited last Tuesday. There weren’t as many people as on the weekend, so I didn’t have to line up.
The interior design was absolutely gorgeous, and the BBQ pork was fantastic, super juicy and nicely smoked. The beef noodle soup was amazing and flavorful. I really enjoyed it!
The rice paper rolls were just okay and a bit plain.

Beautiful and spacious restaurant. 2 rooms. Smaller one at the front left side is like a cute cafe. Really enjoyed telhe fried chicken wings. It’s crispy and sweet sugary coated with garlic strongly infused. There’s a lime juice sauce in the side if you want to tone down the sweetness. We got the special house pho with fresh noodles instead of the dry ones. It would be compared to dry pasta you boil in hot water va the fresh pasta noodles where you just soak quickly. The flavour was good but noodles were overcooked so missed out on the 5 star rating. Good clean place for big groups/ events. next time I’ll stick to the dry ones. Menu tells me there are Some fusion dishes that would go nicely with alcohol. Will be back to try other dishes to compare to other viet restaurants.

Unfortunately, this was a huge disappointment. We came on a Saturday around 12:30pm and I ordered #38 and the soup was lukewarm, the beef did not cook. We had to ask for extra hot soup on the side as they weren’t willing to replace the dish. We waited for a while well over 20-30 minutes only to be kept waiting again for the soup. The server does not speak English very well, when we raised the concern of the undercooked beef and lukewarm soup she replies in Vietnamese. Then one of the dishes came another 10 minutes later. The restaurant dine in wasn’t busy either. Overall, huge disappointment despite the hype. The long lineup outside is for takeout.

Great food and love that they let you refill your Pho with more noodles for once (and L size orders).
Apparently their wings are pretty popular since many people order it. It’s great with lots of garlic and onion, very favourable.
There’s usually a short wait on the weekends, we came on weekdays and didn’t have to wait.

This place is a great late-night option since they open until quite late. The Crab and Pork Noodle in Soup really surprised me the first time I tried it – the broth has a nice tomato base that gives it a rich and layered flavor. It comes with deep-fried soft-shell crab coated in salted egg yolk, which was absolutely delicious. The Nam Dac Biet is also very traditional and a safe choice, with generous portions of meat. I’d also recommend the Honey Glazed Wings – really tasty!

Nam 2 is one of the first “new generation” Vietnamese restaurants that serve more than just pho. The food is quite good and the restaurant has an interesting them. Their beef brisket is quite juicy and flavourful while the appetizer platter is a good way to try different items. The only detractor is that I’ve been here twice and both times the food was very slow to come out. This time I arrived earlier than the lunch hour rush with just one other table of patrons though the food still took a good half an hour. Worth trying but have to be patient.

Food is excellent at this Unionville Vietnamese gem but not for what you might think. The non-traditional brisket with bone in dual style broiled and braised is unique but the star of the show were the garlic chicken wings (just go ahead and order the large portion, you won’t regret it) and the fried spring rolls (Cha Gio). The Pho itself is surprisingly mediocre. Still the stars are worthy enough to justify frequent visits. Service is professional if a bit cold and the value is not unreasonable.
