Food was so much improved from the last time we ate at this location. Much less grease and a very ‘home’ flavor. Service was a little off. Our server had a person she was training which was fine, but if you’re going to train, do it right. I can’t tell you how long we sat with empty glasses before we got a refill. Lots of waste as well. We had 10 different dishes of dip on our table, our server never took and plates away and we ended up putting dirty dishes on an empty table nearby to clear up some space.

Our waitress had a cold sneezing and wiping her nose. We decided to ask for the food to go.
We were staying approximately 30 minutes away, and when we got there, the order was wrong.
The food they did give us the meat was dry, Brunswick stew Unedible, the French fries were almost as if they took them out of the bag and threw him on the plate.
The texas toast with butter was a piece of loaf bread from Publix, not toasted, no butter.
Eat here if you like, I recommend not.
If I get away with not getting sick, I’ll be thankful

The original Country’s on Macon Road is a favorite. It has a charm and backwoods country feel to it that just makes you feel down home. This particular visit I enjoyed my food, but our server who was rather sweet, just didn’t stay on top of serving. Long periods between visits. We like Country’s north better, the food tends to be a little better at times there.

Came in today to redeem my coupon for a free platter and a sweet tea. From the race. I never saw the expiration date so today I asked if they would honor it. I was told no by both managers. Mind you the second one didn’t even get up from the table he was seated at. 3 feet away. Lowest customer experience ever. Do better Countrys been coming here for years.

This is some of the worst BBQ I’ve ever had. Not sure why this place is popular amongst locals. The seasoning on the meats was very bland. The BBQ sauce was also lackluster. I had sides of potato salad and BBQ beans and those were decent.

(5-19-2025) My family was visiting from Texas for my sons military ceremony. We decided to stop here as our last meal together before heading back home. The food was delicious, the staff was very friendly/attentive, and the establishment was nice & clean. We will definitely be back in August!!

First timer. Loved the environment. Ana, my server was amazing, professional, and very nice. The food was okay. The dessert was a little disappointing (Banana pudding), but I would like to go back and try the Lemon Meringue pie. Let’s see how it goes next time.

We ate here today for the first time on our Journey back home….. which we live 3hrs away! When we walked in this place made us feel like home. Customer service was extremely welcoming and everyone seemed passionate about their job. The food here was soooooooooooooo good!!! We have decided that when we are in the area again this will be Our Place to visit over and over again!! If you haven’t ever been please don’t second guess yourself!!!! Pass all the other restaurants, Go ahead find a parking spot. Go inside and have you some good Country Food. I promise you….. you won’t regret it!
