We happened to arrive by boat and docked at the lakeside which was very convenient. We got there around 11:30 am on a Friday morning. There were very few customers so we pretty much got to choose our seating arrangements. They had a great variety of beers to choose from including several craft beers on tap. We ordered the pepperoni flatbread and two of the burgers which were not on the menu. We also ordered the calamari. The calamari was very tasty and perfectly cooked. It was very fresh and not chewy like some frozen calamari tends to be. The pizza was good but didn’t stand out as something I could only get here. The burgers were both ordered medium and medium rare and neither came out even close to how they were ordered. The medium burger was well done, almost more than well done. And the medium rare burger was also closer to well done than it was to medium. The toppings were good and the fries that came with them were also very good but the burgers themselves were only okay at best. This place has a great atmosphere and the accessibility from the lake is unarguably amazing. If you want a great appetizer and a mixed drink or beer when you’re out on the lake this place is great to stop and check out. The service was top notch by the way.

Second time we come back and both times were great. I love the food and cocktails as well as the service. The atmosphere is really nice and the view of the lake is gorgeous. Very spacious restaurant with tons of seating areas.
After eating is so enjoyable to go for a walk arround the lake. We want to come back for the live music and sit outdoors.

We attended A Night in Greece last night. It was fabulous! We met two amazing couples, and the food was incredible-so fresh, and sooooo much of it! We got to try everything from baked feta, beef and lamb kabobs, sea bass, brick chicken, a trio of dips, and orange pound cake and baklava! I highly recommend their special events! Think next one is Creole.

First off, this place is enormous. Indoor, outdoor, side doors, everywhere. We ended up sitting at the outdoor bar with a good view of the water, but there is general outdoor seating and even seating right down by the water. The interior and exterior are both very nice and the place has been hopping both times we’ve been, with staff hustling around getting it done. We shared a wedge and a fried chicken sandwich with fries (loco? Something?). Food was surprisingly good for a mega restaurant like this. Salad was perfect, sandwich was great, fries were good and flavorful. Beers were cold, service was good. Absolutely no complaints for a laid-back Sunday dinner outdoors.

Beautiful restaurant on Lake Norman. There is a spacious indoor dining room and nice outdoor deck over looking the water. Service was really great, Mary was a terrific server. Affordable menu & lots of options to choose from. From handhelds to salads to appetizers to entrees. A large selection of beer, wine, and cocktails as well. Only con was that it took us a while to get our food & some of the food was oversalted but other than that it was a great experience. The salmon was super delicious and cooked well. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Listen……When a chef decides to give you and your family a tour of the menu and a little princess treatment you have to let the world know how AMAZING IT WAS. I sincerely doubt that Chef Cory Owen knows what a blessing this really was to my family. Ya’ll we ate like KINGS. The atmosphere at Port City in Cornelius is already to die for, who doesn’t want to sip a Strawberry Basil Margarita and watch the sun go down over the lake surrounded by family and friends? Then a literal close line of sizzling sweet and salty thick cut bacon shows up and the finishing touches put on by our incredible server Drew (the best by the way) and the smiles started for the kids. They got to cut their own pieces with a pair of scissors and serve us! So fun!
Then the parade of delicious tapas style small plates starts arriving at the scene….lemon rosemary chicken thighs, baked marinated feta cheese, more meat candy…I mean bacon steaks, a ny strip drizzled with the most delicious truffle vinaigrette and crispy potato straws, whipped goat cheese garnished with boba, beef kabobs, and it just keeps going!
Once we each had a taste of all that Chef Corey announces that our entrees are on the way while Orlando, the King of the Port City castle and maybe the best interim General manager a girl could ask for shows up to make sure everything is going perfectly. One of the children mentions she wants to try the chicken tenders and all this fancy food wasn’t doing it for her Chef Corey to the rescue!
Second course comes out on the shoulder of Drew and delivered with a sparkling smile as he takes clear delight in the amount of spoiling that my children are receiving at the hands of the Port City kitchen. A pepperoni flatbread, mushroom ravioli, and much to the delight of the youngest a PILE of chicken tenders with ketchup strong move Corey, you are certainly now her favorite chef
To finish he treated us to a few plates of desserts that nearly put us into a coma…..just the way we like to end a ridiculously amazing meal. Cheesecakes, mouse, limoncello sorbet, key lime pie and assorted fruit….you know because I am on a diet
The only complaint that I have is that no one offered to carry me out to my car when we were done as I could barely move with so much incredible food on my tummy. My kids were overjoyed at the special treatment and my son even asked for a job application. Why wouldn’t you want to work for such an amazing and generous company?
Thank you Drew, Orlando, Port City Club, and especially Chef Corey for an evening we will certainly NEVER forget where a family who has been through it to gather the last few years got to spend a magical evening wanting for nothing and watching generosity at its best washing away the worries and reminding us that good people do great things and still take care of each other. Thank you so much!!!

Loved this place! My boyfriend took me here for my birthday lunch and though we didn’t know we had to have reservations (we will next time), they managed to fit us in at the patio bar. Food was delicious & good quality and the portion sizes were perfect, which is something I can rarely find! We will definitely be booking a patio seat next time, the views are gorgeous. Even though our server was busy, she was still super kind & prompt with getting us what we needed! Loved it here.

We enjoyed a relaxing lunch sitting out by the lake. I had delicious fish tacos. Very generous portions. We noticed the table next to us ordered cheese sticks. They were fun and oversized. We are going to try those next time! Some people were having a bridal shower…looks like a great place to hold a special event! The place is huge and has many seating area options inside and outside.

Great venue on Lake Norman. Delicious food, friendly service, fantastic lake view. My favorites were the mushrooms flat bread & salad. The only issue was the fried items. Both the zuccini & French fries were a bit soggy. Possibly the oil wasn’t hot enough.
