I visited Captain Jacks while I was in Sodus Point for the Holidays. The menu was great and had options that made my mouth water as I read them. Very well thought out items. The food was really good too! The drinks were delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and everyone knew each other it seems. I heard it’s great In the summer time with the outdoor deck! My son had the “monster plate” aka Garbage Plate, he enjoyed it very much. I had the beer battered fish fry and I’ve got to say one of the best I’ve ever had. Lobster bisque was delicious as well, lots of lobster (real too). Beer selection as always is great. Prices on new menu list both cash and credit pricing so save some $ and pay cash. Looking forward to coming back this season.

If you’re looking for a great summer hangout, Captain Jack’s is the place to be. It’s got a great mix of a atmosphere, awesome water views, and good food. We went the other day and can tell you it’s a fantastic spot for anyone.
The vibe is a huge plus. They had live music playing, which made everything feel festive and chill. But honestly, the best part is the view of the water. You can just hang out for hours watching the boats come and go—it’s super relaxing and totally fits the laid-back mood.
And it’s not just about the views and music; the food is really good too. Everything on the menu was delicious and didn’t break the bank. Our nachos and hamburgers were perfectly cooked and tasted great.
Our server was super friendly and right on top of things, making sure we had everything we needed with a smile. There were 12 of us and that wasn’t easy. The great atmosphere, yummy food, and perfect service are what make Captain Jack’s a real winner.
Honestly, it’s just a solid choice for a relaxed, fun meal. We will for sure be going back. If you need a spot for a casual lunch, a fun evening with friends, or just a place to spend a summer day, you can’t go wrong with Captain Jack’s.

Our waitress, Kelly was exceptional. She was busy but was having fun. Smiling and funny. Lobster bisque was the best. Also had calamari and it was good. Wings were ok. Didn’t care for flat bread/braschetta. We were inside. Was told it was 25 minute wait for deck seating. Kelly made it worth it to have to be inside.

Planned a Surprise birthday party for mom on Saturday. I was nervous it being a Memorial Day weekend but it was an amazing time! Mom loved every minute of it. Your staff is so sweet and thoughtful letting us decorate everything, helping us take it down and our Server was Outstanding!!!! He was such a sweet guy and took care of our party of 17!!! Such an amazing time and will definitely plan another party there!!!

Love going here for my Birthday wings every year! Wings are good and the lobster bisque is the best! The few bees that come around outside are annoying but that’s probably to be expected when eating outside. I’ll be back for sure.

The smells outside and in were promising. The hosts and server were friendly. The drinks came timely, and that was the end of the good time for the most part. Almost all the food came at once – soup, wings, salad, two entrees. The only thing missing was my 1 year old daughter’s hot dog. That came out 10 minutes later. The dill wings were supposed to be extra crispy and they definitely were not. The flavor and blue cheese were good. The lobster Bisque had a pound of old bay seasoning on top. Really ruined the flavor. The breaded fish fry was crispy and very good. The seafood pasta was delicious. When I expressed my displeasure with our waitress, she offered to drop new wings and scoop off the seasoning. That was all the resolution we received. I would go back for a second chance if I’m in the area, but I’m not going to rush back.

This place used to be great , I don’t know what happened and or what changed . I took my mom out last night to captain Jack’s for her 80th birthday. Her baked potato came back raw not once , but twice . My burger I ordered the jack out of the box Burger, it came back burnt on the bottom with a terrible aftertaste. I think I’m done with this restaurant , we live locally and we are just going to find another place to go to to celebrate birthdays and what not . I’m over this place they’re overrated , overpriced the only thing that was good about this was the waitress , to which she was working her rear end off. Only one waitress for numerous tables. This is the End , what a horrific experience and not a good way to commemorate someone’s iconic 80th birthday. If you’re thinking about coming here, be ready to be disappointed . The food is subpar if that. Stick to Bar foods and things you know because restaurant style is not your Forte.
