The service was great, the views were beautiful, and the food was amazing. The atmosphere takes the cake for us – it felt like we were in Sarasota, FL. We felt like we were back home in FL., and the beach was only a few minutes away. We really enjoyed Kuchie’s, so we’ll make this a regular spot for us. When you’re on that road that feels like you’re going nowhere, you’re on the right road. Gotta try all of the milkshakes, and that carrot cake cheesecake piqued my intrigue…. We had the mermaid milkshake! ‍ It was like your parents left town for the weekend, and you made a mega-dessert using one of each snack in the kitchen. The unicorn cake had me giggling It was amazingly yummy – and sweet. You can share the milkshake with a couple of people, but you’re entitled to finish it alone. The river view was amazing. Great place!

Stopped in during a business trip. Sat outside on 10/19/25 and loved every second of the relaxing view. The butter toffee cake was unavoidable, and I’m glad that I pretended it was calorie-free. Thanks Stacy 🙂 Will be back if ever in the area!

Weekends here can get really busy, but the experience is well worth it. The food was delicious and served quickly, which made the wait feel minimal despite the crowd. The servers were incredibly sweet, attentive, and understanding, making sure everyone felt taken care of even during the rush. Every dish we tried was flavorful and well-prepared, showing that quality isn’t compromised even on a busy night. Overall, the combination of tasty food, friendly service, and efficient timing made for a really enjoyable visit. It’s clear the staff works hard to keep everything running smoothly, and it definitely shows in the overall experience.

Came in on a Sunday with my friends but ended up having to wait about 45 minutes for a table. We were told that they were short staffed. However, we finally got seated the service was quick, the waitress Kiesha was friendly and the food came out hot. We were mostly there for their famous Bloody Mary’s, which did not disappoint. Great spot for unique drinks and view of the river on a sunny day!

It’s a fun place for special occasions with the kids. My daughter LOVES the smothered pretzel. She’s also very fond of the shipwreck. My son chose the chocolate one. Note: when ordering the shakes, don’t expect to be in and out quickly.

If you sit on the lower deck, be forewarned that it has some bounce to it when people walk by.

Good place to eat. Food was served very quickly but some of the dishes were slightly cold, which made me wonder how long stuff like the fries and walleye were sitting, already prepared. Prices are high in my opinion. Food is not exceptional, but they have a good list of menu items to choose from. It’s nice to get away from chain restaurants for a change. The road to get to this restaurant is in severely poor condition. There are pot holes everywhere. The main parking area is sketchy too. There was a large dip in one of the prime parking areas, but it was filled with water, so you couldn’t use that spot.

Overall, it’s a decent restaurant to try every once in awhile but not something I’m going to proactively seek out in the future.

It was my first time visiting Kuchie’s on the water and despite the fact that we went on a Saturday night they weren’t even that busy. I think we had to wait maybe about 20 minutes or so and it was kind of a spur of the moment decision to go. We’ve lived in the area for 23 years but have never actually been there. I think we tried to go before but the wait was long so we opted out due to a somewhere that we had to be later. I think the fireworks were going on a Marquette Heights this weekend so we got pretty lucky since they weren’t busy. My waitress’s name was Christina and she was really down to earth, I appreciated her honest and genuine personality. We had a few small conversations and it was honestly nice to talk to her. I was telling her that we came there because I wanted to have a good burger somewhere so then we were talking about the quality of food at other places. My husband mentioned that the Big Mac meal used to be $2.99 back in the day and then she made a little joke about his age, she was a lot of fun! Before we were seated I got to meet the owner and she was so nice to meet. As we waited for our table we stood there talking to her about all the different foods at the restaurant and what sells the most of in regards to meals and even the desserts. I thoroughly enjoyed my time waiting for my table just as much as I did the food. I ordered the Topless Beach Burger and of course we had to try the garlic bread cheese curds and they were quite delicious! The strawberry lemonade was on point too I asked for extra strawberries and they spoiled me on that! Oh I almost forgot we also tried the toffee butter cake because the owner told me that that was the best dessert on the menu and she wasn’t wrong , it was mouth-watering! I absolutely loved being able to sit at the best table on the the deck (in the corner) and being able to watch the boats and jet skis out out on the water. The weather was absolutely perfect it was so beautiful out & I was so happy to have my first visit at Kuchie’s since I’ve been trying to go for quite a while! Highly recommend going and maybe even calling ahead for seating if that’s available.

Trying to have a florida vibe in middle america, yes, they’ve done well. As for the food.mm we had a party of four and ordered the shipwreck bloody mary as a meal, 2 blackened grouper sandwiches, and the shrimp wrap special, 2 beers, and 2 other cocktails. 1 beer was incorrect and the shrimp wrap ended up being a chicken wrap… while I understand it was busy, the fact that several things came out incorrectly is troublesome. The chicken wrap was dry. The burger on the bloody Mary was cold. The fish in the grouper sandwich was so fishy you could tell it wasn’t fresh or close to being fresh. The potato au gratin is oddly sweet. I can see coming here just for dessert.

Kuchie’s is a very nice place, Mik was very kind. She was very open to conversation despite how busy she was. And let me tell you, I was enjoying ever second of eating my bacon cheeseburger. It was really good, and I wasn’t really expecting too much from this place. Also, the milkshakes here are good. I personally just got a chocolate milkshake, but you can get some really crazy milkshakes! If your in the Peoria area and want somewhere to stop for food, I would very much recommend you eat here. Just be careful on Wesley Avenue, due to the construction.

Literally my favorite restaurant! I love the food, it’s always the perfect amount of greasy, perfect amount of flavor, and the serving sizes are really good for what you pay!
The beer cheese is honestly amazing (I consider myself a beer cheese connoisseur if you must know). The garlic cheese curds are really good as well! The mac and cheese burger is my go-to.

Don’t get me started on the shakes! The creativity is above and beyond. I’m always excited to see what they’re cooking up! It’s always something to get me my must-have sugar rush though!

The atmosphere is also spectacular in my opinion! It’s got that Midwestern, hometown, riverfront funk that just sits right in my soul (I’d camp out on the back deck if I could). It just feels like home!

The staff are always so kind and friendly, always in a good mood and more than happy to chat! The joking and playful attitude are such an amazing thing to see in a restaurant environment!

Gordon Ramsay be darned, give this place a Midwestern Michelin Star!
