At 8:25 p.m., having still not been seated, I called the restaurant to inquire about our table. The response I received was somewhat condescending, stating that “there are still several parties ahead of you and there will be a wait.” As a hostess myself, I am fully aware of how stressful holiday service can be, particularly when balancing reservations and walk-ins. However, there appeared to be ample staff present—approximately five to seven hostesses at the front—making the lack of organization and transparency more surprising.
When I asked for a more specific estimate, I was told it would be an additional 30–40 minutes. This would have placed our 8:00 p.m. reservation closer to 9:00 p.m. or later. At that point, the issue was less about the wait itself and more about the absence of proactive communication and courtesy.
Ultimately, we chose to take our very hungry selves to **Red Robin**, where we were seated immediately and treated with warmth, respect, and genuine consideration—even receiving a kind compliment as a couple. The contrast in hospitality was striking.
Valentine’s Day is undoubtedly one of the busiest nights of the year, but a reservation should carry some reliability. Even in high-pressure situations, professionalism and attentiveness leave a lasting impression—unfortunately, this experience did as well, just not in the way we had hoped.
Dad loved the lettuce wraps from a long time ago while I don’t believe I’ve ever had them. They were so good! To the point we’re considering making some with our lettuce at home.
Then we had a plate of edamame which counted as our veggie, and the pork dumplings. It was so good all of it! We decided upon a pot of oolong tea as well which made it all so light, refreshing and delicious.
Our waitress Hailey was so good and kind. She made sure there was extra care to our bell pepper allergy and we really respected that!
She also recommended the limited seasonal individual butter cake and it was so tasty and gooey. Our ice cream was a bit too frozen so it wouldn’t exactly melt with the cake’s temperature but it was still so good!
The waitress was very sweet and friendly but we were almost finished with the meal until she came to check on us. I mentioned that normally they had more flavor and a sauce. She said it should have come with the sauce and when she brought it out, it made a huge difference. It was a disappointment because by then we were almost finished eating.
This location is highly recommended!
