The Hibachi Grill is a popular local buffet on Nolensville rd. The prices are affordable and it’s definitely family friendly. There is such a large variety of food, I feel like there’s something for everyone. From pizza to sushi and traditional Asian dishes, it’s all good. The selection of fresh fruits always makes my baby granddaughter happy, while I’m a big fan of the salad bar. We all enjoy the ice creams after our meal. The staff here is always fast, friendly and attentive. It’s a perfect place to go to be sure of good food and good service!

I was here at lunch time on Thursday. Despite for the previous bad reviews, I still want to give this location a try.

The food are hot and yummy, there are a large variety of choices. The waiters are very welcoming and friendly.

Would definetely go back again and highly recomend for anyone who want to have a good Chinese buffet at Nashville.

It is $13.95/person at lunch time, it a deal !

This used to be a great, clean and tasty place to get a bite- no matter what your diet allows. Something changed in the past few weeks and the food is now stale, overcooked and…ill-inducing. The steam rising from the warmers is now a raging boil- watch out for burns!! Maybe they are trying to kill something? We all have budgets and this used to be a worthwhile investment. Now it is a place to avoid.

They had such a wide variety of food, especially sushi and sashimi. I was very pleased as we don’t have a place like this where I live. The prices were reasonable, in my opinion. There was a small selection of food for those who don’t like Chinese that was also available. They are busy, yet the atmosphere was relatively quiet and relaxing.

Oof. Yeah, it’s a lil’ rough. We went out on a limb and gave it a shot. While the buffet presentation was good, from first bite to last the food was mediocre at best. They prep a LOT of food, but you catch on pretty quickly that it’s very likely been recycled from yesterday’s buffet.

One of our intrepid group tried the sushi and seemed none the worse for the experience. But my advice would be to stick with the fried stuff if you’re going to have a go.

Our server was a little frosty but managed to keep the drinks fairly full.

Our advice – if you have another option, it’s probably best to pass on this one.

Used to be you could come in here at opening each day and everything would be made fresh. As of a few weeks ago, now all you will find are congealed and gummy leftovers from the previous day.

Even in the best of times the desserts here were always freezer burned and the sushi rarely fresh, but you used to be able to count on hot dishes made fresh. Now even the rice is recycled from yesterday.

It seems the place has come under new management, or otherwise the owners have decided to try to increase their margins by cutting corners. In addition to the stark decrease in freshness, menu items are being changed out rapidly and the traditional horseradish wasabi has been replaced with a neon green artificial liquid.

Whoever started calling the shots recently, they do not understand food service. You spend thousands on installing new unnecessary booth lights that wreck the ambiance, and then try to save a couple bucks by serving unfresh food? Someone’s priorities are backwards.

Someone needs to tell them: whatever money they hope to save by compromising quality, they’re going to lose 10 time more from customers not returning. Just raise your prices and maintain the quality.

Pains me to stop supporting an old local business and the staff who have worked there for years, but when the management becomes cheap and careless this is what happens.

Photos: Bone dry old meat, days old pudding, yesterday’s dry rice. Not pictured: Old congealed fish, imitation crab that has turned brown, yesterday’s gummy soup.

It’s ok ,, Not as bad as I read in other reviews..May be it depends on the day or time you visit.I had tried their branch in Minneapolis few times and food and choices were amazing there . But this branch is not as good as MN one. But it’s good to try once .The sitting capacity is huge .

I wasn’t aware there was such a thing as a “First come, First Served” Restaurant. I spent $19 for the dinner buffet and drink. I arrived at 3pm on a Sunday because most large hibachi grill buffets have piping hot, fresh food available on the weekends. I would say 40-50% of the dishes were completely empty the entire hour I was here. I’m not spending $19 for emptiness. That’s unacceptable and false advertising! On top of that, the place is a mess! Food just scattered, dirty tables, etc. This place is definitely under staffed and not managed properly. The only reason I got nice photos of the sushi was because they just restocked it, when I went to get dessert. There were only a couple of selections available the entire time I was here. I won’t be back, ever!

TLDR: service sucks, there is a wide variety of foods, costs too much for what you get.

Service was almost non existant, waiter drops off our drinks and then nothing, never came back. We had to seat ourselves, which wasn’t bad, but we were told to move because people had apparently already take the table we were sitting at and these people left no indication that they were sitting there, no jacket no purse no nothing. I will give them kudos for having a wide variety of foods, both American and non American, but quite a few things I got were cold despite being in a pan ontop of a steam table, like how? For the cost of almost $40 for two people, we got waters too so that price is just what this place charges for the buffet lunch, this was not worth that price.

I honestly don’t even know where to start. The customer service was terrible from the moment we walked in—rude, dismissive, and acting like customers were an inconvenience instead of the reason they’re open.

Now the food… absolutely disgusting. And I don’t mean “not great,” I mean really, really, really disgusting. Everything tasted old, greasy, and poorly cooked. The textures were off, the flavors were worse, and it honestly made me question basic food safety. Hibachi is supposed to be fun and flavorful—this was neither.

Between the awful service and the stomach-turning food, this place completely missed the mark. One star is generous. Do yourself a favor and eat literally anywhere else. ️
