Went to this restaurant because I was craving some Mexican cuisine and ended up in this place.
I ordered a fajita salad and street tacos and picked el pastor for the meat.
Fajita salad: I wish they had more actual salad and fajita meat had decent flavor in them. I would rate this 3/5.
Street taco al pastor: 2 tacos for $14….and portion is not even that great, and as far as the flavor goes, what flavor? It didn’t have any… it was a very disappointing. I would rate this 1/5.
I cannot speak for the rest of the menu but for the food I ordered was kind of let down, but stay away from al pastor….but service were good.

El Toro offers a fantastic dining experience with really good food that satisfies your taste buds. The service is super impressive, with attentive and friendly servers who make you feel welcome. Went here for dinner a few weeks ago and I have to say as someone from born from Texas, the food was top notch. Also being from Texas I had to get a Margarita. They had a nice selection of them and what I got was this spicy tarrin flavor and if I remember mango as well. It was really good they have two sizes, the one that sounds small is actually the bigger one. The picture will show what I bought. Now I’m a sucker for a good shredded beef burrito and what they did was perfect. Most places will put beans and rice to the side not El Torro they stuffed it with the shredded beef as seen in the picture.This dish was called the Supreme Burrito. I was accompanied by others and they surely enjoy their experience there as well. Overall if you need a place to eat in Tacoma / Puyallup then this is the spot 5 stars all the way.

Great Mexican ambiance without overdoing the decor. Visually, the presentation of the dishes was appealing, and the flavors are there as well.
We got two appetizers and a Molcajete to share between two people (which was enough).

Portions are huge! Like my husband and I could have shared for sure… if we could agree on what to get ♀️ Our server was amazing and told us some his favorite not on the menu items which were super yummy. He also brought us green salsa which was really good and limey.

We got to go for 2 that cost 50 bucks and the fajitas taste like black jellybeans…… We’ve eaten here years ago in restaurant and they did not taste like that….. Waste of money.

Easily the worst server I’ve ever had at any restraunt. Food was great. Atmosphere was good. The guy serving in the bar was terrible. We asked for refills, he wouldn’t come back etc. The girl who normally works in there is excellent. This guy not so much. I will never eat there again.

It was enjoyable. My food was delicious; I loved the salsa (lots of cilantro and great flavor) but my husband was just ok with his meal. But you gotta know … he’s just a simple “give me a ground beef burrito” kind of a guy and he ordered something outside of his usual. I said, “Order the burrito next time” so we’ll give it another try. I’m the Mexican food lover and he’s more Italian. The service was impeccable!
