Bar-Bill North is the second location of Bar-Bill Tavern, a WNY staple known for the world’s best beef on weck and chicken wings. Located in Clarence, NY, the restaurant & bar opened in January of 2020 after an extensive renovation of the historic Old Red Mill Inn. The two-story structure boasts a full dining area, bar and all season patio for guests. The original Bar-Bill has been open since 1967 and family owned and operated since 1977. We do not accept reservations at either location- all tables are first come first served.

Bar-Bill North was the best food stop of my entire trip to Buffalo. These wings were hands down the best I had the whole time I was there. Crispy, saucy, and cooked perfectly. The beef on weck was also killer and absolutely lived up to the hype.
If you want the true Buffalo experience, this is a must stop spot. I would go back tomorrow.

The beef on weck was interesting. Slightly too salty for my taste, but even the small was still a nice complement to the wings. Cajun honey butter bbq wings was the recommendation I got, SOLID.

Very busy place sometimes. It’s a lively place full of great food. The Barbecue pizza was so fresh and probably best bar pizza I ever had. The wings are always extra crispy. The sweet potato waffle fries are always crispier than the wings… somehow. Definitely worth the try if you’re nearby.

We almost missed our flight home—but honestly, it would’ve been worth it. Because there was no way we were leaving Buffalo without trying the famous wings at Bar-Bill Tavern. Every local we met said, “Skip the tourist traps—this is where the magic happens.” And they were absolutely right.
These wings? Perfectly crispy, sauced like they’ve been blessed by the Buffalo gods, and paired with blue cheese so good it could make a ranch-lover rethink their life choices. Add in a cold Coke and some celery sticks for “health,” and you’ve got yourself a spiritual experience.
The place has that true Buffalo vibe—laid-back, loud, and proud of it. You can just tell this is where locals come to argue about the Bills and brag about their wings. If you want the real deal, not the tourist version, this is the spot. 10/10 would risk missing my flight again.

Weekend game night at Bar-Bill North. We were number 12 on the waiting list and it took about 30 minutes, which honestly wasn’t bad for how packed it was. Service was great , friendly and fast once we got seated. The beef on weck didn’t really hit for me, but the wings more than made up for it. Medium had that classic Buffalo flavor and the honey butter BBQ was sweet, buttery, and addictive. Portion sizes were solid and prices fair, definitely the kind of place that feels right for a casual night out.

Stopped in work a few friends for some wings and fellowship. Some of the best wings are made here. I ordered the honey BBQ wings. Never been disappointed here, no matter what flavor wings you order, you can be assured they will be done right, and tasted delicious every time.

Regardless of day, time of day or size of your party, you will wait for a table. That speaks to the quality of the food and service. Best (and biggest) wings hands down, in the country Be ready for HOT, don’t be a wimp, get the extra hot cajun and tell them you can handle it you’re responsible for YOU (if you can’t handle it, it’s your own fault).

The wings here are amazing! I personally really like the medium sauce, and Cajun-honey butter bbq. The shoe string fries are crispy and well-seasoned. The service can be really slow at times. I would recommend coming here for lunch instead of dinner if you value being seated quickly.

Hands down the best wings and chicken I’ve ever had!!! The entire family agreed. The wing sauce was a perfect blend of spicy and sweet, and hand brushed on. The chicken was fresh and super tender. The wings were huge! They also make their own blue cheese sauce which was delicious. The fries were soft and crispy, seasoned and excellent. I was skeptical about whether wings in Buffalo New York would actually be better than Chicago and am shocked that they definitely are at least at this place. The place gets crowded so try and avoid prime dinner and lunch times. We were there at around 2:30 in the afternoon and got seated right away. Staff was very nice. Highly recommend!!!!
