While the atmosphere definitely does not cater to a place where most people would enjoy sitting down and eating, I believe it does have some charm in it’s current space.

I ordered 3 carne asada tacos and while they were okay, I don’t think I’ll come by to order from here unless I was really recommend it.

To be fair to the restaurant it is called King Burrito so I probably should have tried one of those but I was craving tacos and if a Mexican restaurant doesn’t have good tacos, that heavily influences my outlook on the place.

Good vibes, cheapish burritos with a somewhat easy location to access. Delicious too

No frills spot that’s pumping out some quality burritos. Had been looking to come for a while and finally made it in after being in the area. The atmosphere is classic and what you would expect for a local establishment. There’s around 6-8 tables inside for seating but I’m sure most people take items to go.

As far as the food I went with the chorizo and papas breakfast burrito. The burrito was flavorful and packed. It was a little bit one note on the texture side but the tortilla was fresh and the salsas on hand added some nice kick. Overall solid.

Also the service was great and the speed that they turn around orders is pretty impressive. I had my burrito in hand maybe within 3 mins of actually ordering. Great speed. Definitely a place to check out for easy Mexican food if you’re in the area.

I hit up King Burrito for a quick lunch with a co-worker on a Monday, and it was so damn good that I was back the very next day for dinner to-go.

The King Burrito enchilada-style is a beast – huge portion, super flavorful, and it kept me full through the rest of my work shift. The sauce, cheese, and fillings all come together perfectly.
The next day, I got the same thing plus a side of beans with cheese and their Mexican rice. That rice might be the best I’ve ever had outside of homemade – fluffy, seasoned just right, and addictive.

Service both times was lightning fast. Prices are totally reasonable for the massive portions you get.

If you’re in North Portland and craving authentic Mexican, this spot is a must. I’ll definitely be a regular now!

5 stars not enough. Need 6 stars. Fresh hot burritos are large and super delicious. Just under $10, hard to beat this value. It was ready super fast. Barely had time to sit down. It’s on my monthly bucket list to make it here. I keep going back to the steak fajita burrito.

Stopped by for lunch, staff was friendly and polite. I had a chili cheese dog and it was excellent. The toasted hoagie bun and good quality chili. Hot dog average but cooked well. Overall a good experience.

King Burrito is a popular eatery. They had a line the whole time we were there. One unfortunate thing is their menu doesn’t have descriptions. As a result my burrito had sour cream, which I don’t care for. I liked the hot sauces they have. The chips and salsa was more like chips and pico de gallo. Their food was decent and the prices were good but there are plenty of places on this level. It’s fine if you’re in the area. Great value! Awesome taste. Many menu items to choose from, the King Burrito is amazing. The hot sauces are some of the best around, hot but with good flavor to complement the food. Burritos are priced around 10 dollars and are decent size. This is a standard go-to for lunchtime.

This restaurant has some of the BEST Mexican food in Portland!

We always ordered their double bacon cheeseburgers and were never disappointed with how crispy the bacon was. The french fries were soooo fresh as well! I ordered the chimichanga covered with enchilada sauce sometimes. The tostadas were very delicious too. However, the avocado sauce was okay, but fresh avocados would have made the flavor pop more in my opinion.

The cashiers were always very kind. Wonderful atmosphere. Made me feel at home. I hope to return to Portland and try King Burrito’s burgers and burritos again! ❤ 10/10, would recommend to any burger fan out there!

And honestly, when I ordered to go, I never took too many pictures of the food because it was so good I’d just end up eating it as soon as I arrived home! haha
