Harbor House in Clinton Twp. was FABULOUS to us this week! We stopped in for an impromptu Sunday dinner and may have just found our new favorite spot.
The food? Incredible. From crab legs, shrimp, and crab cakes to ribs, fish, soups, and even the mac & cheese at the salad bar—everything was fresh and delicious. The crab salad was a standout, and yes, we might’ve ordered half the menu.
Service was 5 STARS thanks to Lisa, who anticipated everything before we even asked. And meeting the owner, Nick (in business since 1975!), was a treat—my son even sang happy birthday to him, which had the whole place laughing.
Family-friendly, great for coworker dinners, or just grabbing some good seafood and steak—Harbor House has it all. And yes, it’s all-you-can-eat with a 2-hour limit, so bring your appetite.
Definitely adding this to my list of go-to spots in Macomb County!

The all you can eat crab legs does cost more but you get the crab legs and anything from the all you can eat menu, sample it all. Soup and salad bar included you come hungry you will leave full and satisfied!!
Our waitress was great checked on us to get new food,. The atmosphere was nice it wasn’t loud or crazy. We will visit again.
First time here. Loved, loved, loved the food! Had the all-you-can-eat crab legs dinner. So surprised that the “selections” were also all-you-can-eat also! (See the pic)
My guest had perch and ribs dinner and added the soup & salad bar.
We both enjoyed our meal. So good. I love the crab and had 4 clusters! Also had shrimp scampi, soup & salad bar, and sweet potato!
I almost hurt myself from eating too much! This place will definitely be our “gotta come back to” restaurant.
Everything was flavorful.
Our server did not rush us but stayed close by and would ask how things were, but yet she didn’t interfere with our dinner experience. We liked that. Tipped her well for sure.
Wow, amazing food!
I’d been looking for a place to dine with my 2 girls (21 and 15).
We weren’t loud, obnoxious or rude. The server was fun and informative.
I won’t recommend this place though.
Too expensive for the taste.
While paying I let them know my card had to be entered manually due to a chip issue. The mag strip doesn’t work due to being around magnets and its not a tap card.
The server comes back and asks for my ID. She said she needed it for the card because it’s asking for the address.
Thats suspicious, I know it only asks for the zip code.
They could have just asked and if they needed to verify they could look at the name on the card and vetify my ID….
After it taking a while I’d checked and had seen them taking a picture at the bar of my info.
I’d immediately walked up and asked what was happening.
They took a picture of my ID and the receipt. I immediately told them that was wrong. I knew they didn’t need to take hold of my ID and the owner tried to argue the entire thing.
He even asked why I didn’t get a new card. Rather than say that’s my business, i’d said it takes 7 business days.
The owner was rude. The waitress apologized profusely, the owner didnt care.
I’d told him that’s terrible business practice.
Not only did they lie about why they wanted my ID, they hid it and got caught.
How many other people have they done this to? Why did they lie to get my ID?
This wasn’t a cheap meal. I still tipped on top of it, but id just referred one person away. I’ll refer anyone I speak to away. Taking pictures of people’s information. Shame on you. Making your consumer feel like a criminal for dining at your establishment? I have nothing.
The only reason I ever come here is because my husband likes crab legs otherwise, I would never choose to eat here.
The customer service is consistently horrible. I have never had a great waitress, and this visit was no different. Our server wasn’t as bad as others we’ve had, but she definitely wasn’t good just mediocre.
My husband ordered the all-you-can-eat crab legs, and the issue seemed to start because he allowed my elderly mother-in-law to taste a small piece of a claw not a whole claw and not sharing plates, just a small taste. The manager had our server come over and tell us this wasn’t allowed and that we could be charged for two all-you-can-eat meals, which was unnecessary and uncomfortable.
On top of that, my daughter’s food had to be sent back to the kitchen.
While this was happening, I watched the manager greet and welcome every other table but completely ignore ours. No acknowledgment, no courtesy, no apology.
To make it worse, as we were leaving, one of the employees gave me a nasty look complete with an eye roll.
The food is inconsistent, the service is worse than the food, and overall the experience was slow, rude, and a disgrace. I have told my husband never to bring me back here again.
